@@romxxii lol yeaaaaaah I would except theoretically half the party were above average int, Obviously Caleb, but Veth was pretty close behind (not that Sam often played up that stat, preferring to fuck shit up as entertainingly as possible instead lol) And Beau, even before she got the diadem or whatever it was that increased her int had a high int, (she just preferred to punch people in the face instead). And only Cad and Yasha were really REALLY supposed to be dumb int wise. I think Fjord and Jester were somewhere in the middle. So long story short, I'd love to accuse stats but it'd be a lie lol.

It's hard to tell, but there were a few times when it seemed that Laura was getting frustrated. Particularly when Robbie wasn't listening to her about the ring.

@@cryofpaine Happens sometimes, I remember a certain moment before Sam cast counterspell in C1, where there was quite a bit of serious visible frustration with his actions - that's part of playing D&D with an invested group. :) With friends, it usually works out. :) (though tbh, I felt a little concerned too, but then again, we don't know them personally and see how they talk and act behind the scenes, so we'll have to have faith in them being cool with it)

@@NaviXP Panic makes you not think I'm afraid. To be fair, the dice clearly weren't on his side. Had he tried to pick up the ring and failed the check to make it stealthy it could've been even worse.

@@High-LordHarza He wouldn't want to or need to stealthily pick up the ring. He'd rather be seen picking it up so that Armand has no possible suspicion when he makes the switch and gives him the switched ring. It'd literally just be "I saw that you dropped your ring, here you go" with a low tier deception check as that's a completely plausible situation that wouldn't raise suspicion. And if Armand actually saw him pick up the ring there may have been no role or just a token roll for nat 1 check. In kicking it away he forced himself to make a sleight of hand check and then, if he had been successful, a deception check.

Also, I understand now why it's a Wyvernwind tradition for the heirs to have a little Rumspringa: it's so that the stupid ones can die off before they're entrusted with administering a whole city. That can be the only reason why Dorian's parents had no problem seeing Cyrus spend a summer in Marquet.

@@skycloud5695 definitely man. it wasnt me, it was both my parents one after another, but every cancer survival story gets me heaving a relieved sigh even if i didnt know the person existed a minute ago. i have already lost a 3-4 ppl to cancer so good news in this department sounds like a miracle to me. hope the best for u and ur future buddy

I'm always amazed at how well the community lip reads and transcribes what they're mouthing to each other. Sometimes its obvious but sometimes its a little vague. I don't know how accurate it all is but it seems to fit very well.

Honestly, it makes sense that Dorian is messing up, Dorian is feeling the pressure of having to be Bronte again. He's clearly not happy about having to be Bronte again, and I think he thinks he has to do more to the plan, like feeling the pressure of his station and such. He's fixating on getting rid of the ring and forgetting he could just swap it out, like come on, who else has not tunnel visioned on a specific solution and forgets others? Also, Dorian's plan was sound, his rolls just sucked so bad. See, if he had swapped it out and given it to Armaund himself, it would connect Dorian to the ring, so if he ever finds out it's fake, he would immediately think of Dorian. I think he was trying to kick away the ring and drop the fake ring for Armaund to find himself. Of course we have no way to know unless Robbie says it himself, but it was a good plan if he rolled well.

That doesn't completely track. I agree that Robbie was definitely trying to simply show up with the fake ring and completely bypass any need for slight of hand checks and ride on his charisma to sell it. However I think the issue is that everyone was taking it for granted that Armaund had clocked the real ring's trajectory, even though it hadn't been explicitly spelled out that he had a bead on it. Robbie had been going in under the reasonable assumption that a ring in the middle of a crowd of dancers would be incredibly difficult to track down, at least in a modern dance house. I think he wasn't considering how much open space there would likely be in a classical dance hall in a more upper crust setting.

I was honestly scared of Laura whenever she just glared at Robbie, and he sipped his mug to avoid eye contact. It was very tense and weird. I hope it's all OK. Player drama is bound to happen and whatnot; I just hope it was all part of the character act. Even without acting in character, Robbie is a human. He could've been confused, and this was a tense situation. Even I was confused about what was happening but with a table of 9 people is a lot. I hope all is well. I don't want internet drama to happen in the Critter community because I can't be the only one who was like, "This situation is a mess." But I don't want to be rude and stuff, but it's just been in my mind for some reason? I'm way too invested. XD

I watch as much live as I can, but normally zonk out at around 12:30-1:00am CST. Even though I subscribe to Critrole on Twitch so I can watch their eps immediately, I normally wait until MRG uploads, so I can recap, and find out what I missed. Honestly, Fearne dropping the ring on the floor was the best thing she could have done: easily passed as an accident, avoids questioning, and prevents it from being retrieved immediately. Sometimes the best thing you can do is level the playing field by introducing a Wild Card. Luckily, this campaign has a Wild Card in the form of an entire player character.

I'm so glad this came out today, I always watch the stream on Friday due to sleep schedule. Then I love watching the bits compilation. I always watched the stream with my dog cuddled next to me, and we had to put her down today she would have been two in 10 days. This is a welcome distraction, thanks for your dedication putting these together.

I absolutely love their "heist" style episodes. I love how long they take to plan and I love that it never works out as planned, it's like you're getting 2 comedy shows back to back. LOL tbh I'm surprised the body count in that party is still zero.
