Extremely awful, probably the most strict on the globe overall. It's hard to do any legal modification unless you simply buy prepared goods from shops. For the most common brands around, like BMW or VW, there is a somewhat decent selection but if you drive something more rare then good luck getting whatever modification done. Like for the car that I'm driving there is exactly one legal exhaust system and everybody is installing that same one on their car... 😒 Getting another one installed? Almost impossible unless you want to throw out 50k or more for whatever tests you will have to go through. Want a bodykit? Have fun getting that material approval certificate (DTC) and getting it past the "pedestrian protection" tests. It's near impossible. Unless you're rich and just like to spend a lot of money and time. (That's why the times you see cars with bodykits on the street, outside of meets, can be counted with one hand. Per year that is.) If you like cars I would highly recommend to stay the heck out of Switzerland. 😐 This country only loves its public transportation and hates cars, especially if you don't buy new ones from dealers. God forbid you wanting to modify it, what an unholy thing that is. 😬

I know your comment is almost a year old. The swiss car scene sucks because you're not allowed to do anything here. Bodykits are forbidden, bigger turbos, decatting, loud exhausts, lowering too much, everything is completely forbidden. And don't even think about motor swaps or big wings etc. The only way you can achieve some of them is if you spent a lot of money, and I mean like 10k + for like 50 more horsepower if it should be legal, and that can change after 2 months again. If you're into cars, stay away from Switzerland.

As Sammy fox said, the car scene in Switzerland is fairly big, but the government sets new regulations year for year. These regulations are only there to minimize the modification of cars completely. The government simply just hates anything that has to do with car mods, which is why I'm also so jealous of you Americans.
