I think cosmo deserved at least an honorable mention. He has high enough numbers to impact the game from a power sense, but his effect just turns off so many strategies. Hela, nah dog, discard as a strategy, put those over there here they do nothing, destroyer’s best friend. Stops surfer in the right place. Protects big dudes from Shang chi. He’s just really good

I agree. I expected Cosmo would be Alexander's #1 the way he introduced it. But apparently, by "accessible" he didn't mean a series 2 card, he meant a card that was series 4 up until recently.

Cosmo is busted. Stops over half the cards in the game probably like 60 to 65 percent and has no counter. He should be able to use enchantress on him.

This is easily my favourite podcast/content in Marvel Snap, it just wouldn’t be the same without you two. When Alex was gone (congrats to him btw, I’ll post on his channel too) don’t get me wrong it was a great episode!! But the variety in each of your personalities here is taking this show up another level. I always onto both channels in order, and then check out the videos I’ve missed on both of your channels. Excellent segments here btw, She-Hulk is my #1 ;)

Damn Cosmo is gonna get a loooooooot of use. It's already great against MODOK/Hela decks and if you can snipe a Kang with it, they spent their whole turn doing literally nothing.

Cosmo and Armor have saved my ass more times than I can count. I feel like I can fit one or both of them in every deck I play. Also with so many locations screwing with my plans, Scarlet witch is also a good one to have as a just in case.

Black Bolt is awesome when you know your opponent is running Death, in their deck, I know this because someone took out my 0 cost Death with him ruining my win, but was kinda cool because I didn't see it coming

I also like that the counter to kang is kang, think, you play on 6 normally and if they kang you, then you use kang to see the play that they were going to do to beat that

Yeah, but kang can be a problem card, he can be the card that wins you 8 cubes and the card that makes you retreat and only lose 1, im hoping he's good but not broken

Cosmo predictions on Kang could be pretty gnarly, though very hard to effectively pull off (Predicting it's a Kang deck, the lane it'll play into, having priority and if they'll play turn 5 or 6 (possibly sooner in ramp deck), plus not already having played Cosmo to prevent other plays is a LOT of variables against predicting a block). Essentially if you have priority and predict Kang's lane you've caused opponent to totally waste turn 5/6 for a 0 power play, which in vast majority of games should be guaranteed win/opponent retreat.

Since the moment I read Kang's effect, I've never even thought of the idea of using it on turn 5, until they talk about how better it is to be used on turn 6 then 5.

Ghost with viper could be something funny, now your opponent will go allways last, and that could be good for you to do a wong combo before getting cosmo'd

I can't believe you didn't mention Leech as a MODOK counter! You play Leech and they just discard their Swarm and Apoc! The decks also run Chavez so you know what they have on 6! It's a great counter!

I’ve started with global release. Bought all the season passes and play every day. Now I’m at collection level 2,500 and still enjoy the game. But I have no joy or interest in new card releases because I know I will not get them anytime in the near future. And that sucks.

Magnito for me is the one that makes a big difference. Areo on five and him on 6 makes for a fun time or if you can make it turn 4 and ...so crazy

I have a doubt. Kang's text says "restart THE turn", not "restart YOUR turn". So...it will restart the hole turn, which means your opponent's turn too? Somebody knows 100% how it works? That "THE"...it's getting my mind crazy 😵😅

That's how I read it. The opponent gets to choose a different play. You get good intel, but it's not broken like it would be if their cards stay as is

Another thing with Kang is that since it goes in so many games, both players playing Kang will likely be a thing often? Does it restart both player's turns or does it not restart like Daredevil? If it doesn't restart, should you not play Kang if you're behind?

Kang and somewhat later Mephisto as permanent Series-5 candidate? While Mephisto clearly doubles your winning, Kang basically halves your losing by giving you a more informed retreat. These 2 cards truly feels like the contrast of each other.

Playing kang on 6 will be tooooooooo broken Especially when u play something with kang then on reveal happens then the turn restarts i mean it is a disadvantage when u think about it too its a 1 cost card thats using the onreveal but at the same time there will be so many different ways to use this its unreal

Magik will forever live in my top 10. Location control, card draw, cost reduction, tempo control. She's like a little bit of Rhino, Warlock, Sera and Daredevil combined. And much like Wave, although the effect benefits both players, you can build your deck around it, while it often takes them off guard. She's not number 1 but she's defo in my top 10.

I don’t think I hate a card more than ice man. It’s so extremely frustrating to play against. When it hits my Mr. Negative or any deck defining card, nothing feels worse.

@@atle2008 deck destruction in low values destroys the bottom card of your deck that you wouldn't have drawn anyway. In high values it's destroying your draw.

For me Wave doesn't need a nerf specifically BUT they HAVE to change her interaction with Death and She-Hulk. If it sets up the cost to 4 THEN MAKE IT SET THESE COSTS to 4.

I had She-Hulk pinned at the end of the Surfer season, but I let her go because I was like CL 1300 and I needed to increase my collection. The first day She-Hulk was available at pool 3, I unlocked her in my Reserve. I went on a great run with her in my Surfer Girls deck and I ended up Vibranium for the first time after finishing Gold last season.

You can actually counter Dracula by using Magneto. Won most games when i was able to move him away from my winning location.

One solution for mindgame countering Kang players - Play pure RNG Agatha deck. If I don't even know what my play pattern is going to be from one turn to the next, no way will they be able to figure out what I'm (Moreso Agatha ig) going to do! Even if they see one possible turn 5/6 play, that was just random Agatha placement anyway and on a retry she'd still place totally randomly.

As always my favorite SNAP content (and hinestly gaming content) each week. I just bought Shuri from the shop and have to agree shes definitely a little busted and can make any deck just that much better by adding so much extra power to the deck (and she's straight up broken in any zero, ramp or any deck that likes to use fewer but more high powered cards in the later turns). Dropping Shuri then Red Skull followed by Taskmaster just feels loke cheating and if your opponent isn't running Shang Chi it's just GG 95% of the time

Dig the show! So here's my question. I'm back down to 40! Since there is obviously a matching system are there cards/decks that are better to use when you're below 60-70 (where things, to me, start to get crazy!) or should you just get good at piloting the highest deck you can and rock from there

Definitely think galactus should be top ten. Aero is his only true counter since Cosmo can be a 50/50. He might not have the most consistent gameplan but certainly the most polarizing. Obviously this assuming you have knull since you win any power match up.

Only way that you have a chance of stopping dracula is playing black widow on turn 6 but usually that means you are losing the game

Felt soo blessed when I opened she hulk mid pool 3 a few weeks back 🥲 whipping out 40 power with double she hulk + infinaut on turn 7 AND giving sunspot 6 power feels too good
