If you're looking for the best cookware, I have some favorites to share.
My favorite pots and pans are very durable and perform really well. I've had most of them for close to a decade, so I feel confident recommending them to you.
Using the best cookware makes a big difference in how your food turns out and your experience of cooking too.

Two comments I'd like to make. Firstly, I used to be fairly happy with my All-Clad SS pots and pans (though they have the worst customer service I've yet experienced with a supposedly good company) until I bought my Daughter a tin lined Copper skillet and lid from Duparquet for her wedding present. They can also be ordered with a silver lining. Upon hearing feedback, I bought myself a sauté pan and a 4 quart pot - and now nothing else seems good enough for this short life of ours. As for the enameled Cast Iron, for baking bread you owe yourself a treat and try on the ceramic Emil Henry dutch ovens/bread baking pans. They are far more even for even conduction and a fairly decent price. Oh, and they are freezer to microware safe and good to 600 degrees. What's not to love? ;)

You jave picked out some beautiful pans. You have a good variety for almost ANY KITCHEN NEED. I get that you paid and bought each pan for yourself. I wonder what the complete set you discuss costs? Those colored French stewers are very spendy. I am.70 YO and still can't afford one. This is more of a sweet dream list to buy one piece at a time over a decade or more. 😮

It definitely took me more than a decade to invest in one piece at a time. The great thing about most of these is that once you make the investment, they will last you a lifetime.

Thank you so much for this video, it was great and I totally agree about the stainless steel vs enameled cast iron pot. I saved to buy the le creuset Dutch oven, but I honestly prefer my stainless steel one and cook with it all the time instead.

I definitely agree with your point on the coated cast iron skillet - it never gets as non-stick as the traditional iron skillets like Lodge. I've been using my carbon steel for many many years and it's now super slick just like your Lodge! Anyway thanks so much for the great review, Olga!

@@OlgasFlavorFactory I like LeCruse , I have several nonstick pans from Curtis Stone.. also have stainless still skillet.. like them all. Curtis Stone once they work well but the exterior is hard to clean.. and if it lite in color ( I have turquoise ) they stained very easily and doesn’t clean ..

I don’t think a stainless steel cooks better than a Le Creuset. You just don’t have to cook at such high temperatures with it. Cast iron conducts heat a lot better. I use reg cast iron for skillets a lot more than my all clad. It’s much better and seasoning is very easy. That meringue piece you have a\is a cassadou

I watched one of your older videos where you made a one skillet dinner in what looked like a Caraway skillet. Do you no longer use those and prefer stainless and cast iron?

I bought sets because it was cheaper to buy the whole set than only getting those individual pieces I really wanted. Have you experienced the same thing?
@pamelahawn9300
@pamelahawn9300 Ай бұрын
I can't really say that. I think if you look carefully at sets you can find sets that only sell pans, lids and skillets. Many 3 piece sets have 1,2,and 3-quart sizes. Of you look carefully you can get "dupes" of high-quality SS pans. Sometimes the same seller might have the larger pans in the same brand sold as another set, or the 3 qt./stemer combo separately as another set. They divide the skillets or sell them as a set. A newlywed couple or beginner cook probably is good with 1,2,3 quart saucepans, a 10-11" skillet a small 8" skillet, and and 4 qt stock pot. A cast iron 10" plus with a lid is always a plus. ( camping, browning, oven stews, round loaves of bread, deep frying. They just can't be used for acids. A chicken cast iron fryer to match the size of the 10'" cast iron could be a relatives old ones as they last for decades and more... I wouldn't purchase anything with Teflon except a skillet or 2 for eggs and sticky sugary things. I do that with stainless steel pans kept seasoned. Pan sets work if you look for all clad, a good weight of stainless steel, a core bottom preferably 5 core. The easy pour is good. Well-made handles are good, preferably not wood or silicone parts that limit the temperature that you can use them in the oven with the lid. I like glass lids with metal heat or removable handles that come off. 😊
