Im no pro, but for upshots, something i stole from Presnell is, reduce the head turn as much as possible and try to keep your eye on the target for as long as possible, minimizing the time your eye is turned away, if at all. Working great so far, and based on this video, it could be something that helps you. Seems like you turn away even on low power shots where you really dont need to.

Cal had the highest speed throw on the TechDisc setup they had at DDO this year if I remember correctly.

You're a professional video guy too so I'm sure you know this but you can set those Rode Wireless GO mics to record internally so you always have a backup incase the in-camera screws up for whatever reason. Definitely takes more time in the edit but such a convenient feature to have and the audio is always of a higher quality. I do it all the time at work.

The Go doesn’t record internally, the Pro does. I made that mistake when purchasing my own

@@michaelwhitlock6301 He's using the Wireless Pros. You can tell by the big Rode logo on the pack on his hat in close up shots. And yes, the Wireless Go doesn't have internal recording but the Wireless Go II does if you enable it through the Rode Central app. We have the Go IIs at work and I always use the internal recordings over the in-camera audio
