Cucumbers-700 gr.
Onion-80 gr.
Dill.
Sugar-2 tsp
Apple cider vinegar (5%) - 2 tbsp.
Sour cream (24%) - 2 tbsp.
Cream (30%) -4 tbsp.
Black pepper.
Salt.

In addition to the dill I add a bit of chopped chives or scallion greens and also I do 1 tbsp each of sour cream, yogurt and mayonnaise. A squeeze of lemon never hurt anyone either.

Hi, I just made this. I wasn’t sure how long I shd soak the cucumbers in the salt n onions in the cider vinegar. I just guessed. Perhaps you could indicate that in the description. I didn’t have sour cream n used plain yoghurt. It tasted good but still abit watery n I wasn’t sure to throw or keep the cider vinegar liquid. More instructions would be great. Even tho I fumbled thru, it turned out pretty good. 😆Thx for the recipe !

Thanks for your post, it was helpful. I just sliced up my cukes and onions and figured I'd let them soak for about 30 minutes. It feels like the right amount of time when I've had to do this with zucchini before. It all gets softened anyway. We'll see if mein Deutsch Herr likes it. 😄
