Grand Floridian. No. Art of Animation? Maybe. The Contemporary! Hmmmm.. One of the hardest parts of planning a Disney World visit is deciding where to stay. Everyone has an opinion and there are some very popular hotels that always top the “best of” lists. But what about the Disney World hotel underdogs? You know, the ones that are just as good as -- if not better than -- the most popular resorts, but they don’t get nearly as much of the love. And just as a warning: We have some STRONG opinions about this list.

Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge are two different places. Morgan's comment is about Fort Wilderness. That will be confusing to someone who doesn't understand they're not the same resort. Just wanted to mention it. :)

Yes. 90% of the commentary is about Ft. Wilderness and NOT Wilderness Lodge.

😂 So funny, as they got to number one, I said, what about The Swan and Dolphin hotels? They are the best deal on property. Nicer rooms than many of Disney's hotels, better food and usually about half the price of their deluxe hotels. Plus walking distance to EPCOT and DHS. Plus the same benefits as staying at a Disney hotel.

Swan and dolphin is definitely the most underrated resort it’s up there with wilderness lodge.

So glad The Swan and Dolphin made the list. We come at least once a year and The Swan is our go-to hotel. Only sad that so many people have caught on that the price has gone up. We stayed for a week in March 2021 in a beautiful, large corner room overlooking EPCOT. We paid $158 a night. We are returning in January and the price has doubled. Yikes! Rooms are now $300 plus, but still cheaper than the Boardwalk and Yacht and Beach. Hope the prices drop back to those bargain prices or we may need to change our go-to hotel. Went ahead and booked Port Orleans French Quarter for January, as it was less than The Swan or Dolphin. If you do stay at The Swan or Dolphin, keep in mind they are separate hotels. The biggest difference is that the double rooms at the Dolphin have double beds, whereas the double rooms at the Swan have queen beds.

Have stayed at pop century so many times and absolutely love the value. It’s definitely underrated. Buses aren’t too bad and now with the skyline it’s even more accessible. Also love Swan and dolphin. Great proximity to parks, big comfortable rooms and moderate pricing, plus you get points to use on future trips.

Coronado Springs Gran Destino Tower was the first resort (did a split stay) we stayed at this September. The beds/pillows were so comfortable that I took pictures of the tags. Loved staying there! It is so beautiful! My sister and I walked around the grounds and enjoyed it. Only negative is that you only have a bus for transportation. Would I stay there again! Yes! Our home resort is FQ and we love it but it wasn't opened when we were there!

Editor is sleeping again….Morgan is talking about FORT Wilderness not Wilderness Lodge! These are 2 completely separate and different resorts.

Crushed. Had to rebook our vacation so many times and now we're paying a fortune for Port Orleans Riverside in December (Christmas!) when we could have stayed at the Swan in May for much, much less.

I never would've imagined Disney's Wilderness Lodge as an underrated hotel. It's personally my first choice for lodging at Walt Disney World (or Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge as I go back and forth between the two).

You should edit and Add Swan Reserve as the 3rd bonus resort lol. Once you've been able to do a proper review of course. I will be there in a two bedroom suite next Friday for a week so let me know if you want in. :)

Great review..unfortunately, I hate, hate, hate paying for parking. if I am staying on property, parking should be free of cost.

I stayed at the French quarter this week it was nice and quiet but the bed was so uncomfortable but it’s very well themed and quiet

Wilderness Lodge - by far - is my favorite Dis hotel. Love the theming. Wish that we could get Artist Point - the original Artist Point - back, although I know that will never happen.

Great video but it would be helpful to show hotels on the map and mention the price brackets for each of the hotels. I’ve never been to Disney so the value/moderate/deluxe means nothing to me.

Love the French Quarter and Pop Century! Both are in my top 3 resorts. 💜 Was very surprised to see that Shades of Green was left out though. It's not Disney owned, but like Swan and Dolphin, is located on property with great Disney perks and is WAY cheaper then most of the Disney-owned hotels; with great room sizes!😲

I think it's because Shades of Green only allows military / armed services guests and their families there, so it's not an option for a lot of the people who go to the parks.

Swan and Dolphin are the very Best! The ONLY thing I miss there is that TV tuned into Disney. Theming is not hugely important to me but I do wish they could get disney TV and the magic band connected to room charging or credit card. Lastly I hear that the buses to magic kingdom are now Mears so go to TTC. Advised my 19 year old to walk and take bus from yacht.

The best one is definitely the Old Key West followed closely by Saratoga Springs. Love going HOME.

I stayed at pop pre skylines it was great staying near the pool and one of the cast members found my sock in the dryer that I thought I lost

I want to ask- how useful is the skyliner for getting to Hollywood studios? is it quicker than the bus?

If they have the skyliner, they probably won't have the bus (unless the skyliner is down). Usually only one mode of transport between points.0

Yes you can get all the benefits of staying at a Disney Resort, and so much more. You can walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studio and your on the Boardwalk and next to the skyliner and you can find rooms for under 200 bucks and book with marriott points

You forgot Jambo house It has an Exotic and Unique style, As the African Style Is Stunning to Look at Food doesn’t Disappoint As well, As There are 5 Restaurants to eat at, the best Being Boma. You can Literally see Animals outside your own Window, For your Whole family to enjoy. It’s even More underrated Than Swan And Dolphin!!!!!

So rude cutting off Molly, Molly is the best of the 4 reviewers here by A LOT!!!!!! Not right. All my Disney choices from food to hotels, to rides I trust Molly the most!!!!
