You do NOT need to dual feed these carbs if you block the crossover. There is a crossover in the airhorn that feeds the far side needle as well. If there werent you'd only ever need to adjust the near side float in single feed applications.

can you show what the fuel bowl crossover block off with fuel line looks like and how to do it best?

You literally just take a small piece of fuel line and wedge it in the middle of the crossover with the hole oriented up. Cut it long enough that it protrudes above the top of the float bowl about 1/32" to 1/16" and install the airhorn as you normally would.

Really good video👍Ive heard you can make these carbs work really well with these simple mods. If only the bowl vents were higher. Then it mite be the perfect off road carb. Running an adjustable pressure regulator down low while off road mite help too but may not be necessary. Good job bud👍

Oh yea! Got to! I thought about jb weld, but heard it will still dissolve over time. How's yours holding up?

I’ve done it a couple times, I ran one truck that way for a couple years with no issues.

Planning on taking my k5 to the rubicon. I’m still running a carburetor that’s properly tuned with a wideband gauge. Hopefully these mods will work if not I’ll probably go efi.

These should help for sure! Make sure your regulator is working, offroading psi is different than street

@@diveingarage what should I set it at for off roading? It’s currently at 5.5psi

If you're running the stock style needles turn it down a few psi. If you upgrade to the offroad needles you might be ok at 5.5. Just experiment!

How does sealing off that passage effect the carb under hard throttle with a dual feed line? I would think it would starve the engine eventually… Correct me if I’m wrong.

Once you set up a dual feed you don't need that crossover anymore. So each line will fill one bowl and keep it full.

Even without dual feed the crossover isn't doing much. Most of the fuel is flowing through the passage in the airhorn and going through the far side needle anyway.
