New England-Style Crab Cakes Ingredients:
2¼ Panko breadcrumbs
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup seeded and chopped red bell pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
5 eggs, divided
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tbsp red wine vinegar
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp capers, drained
2 tsp hot sauce
1 lb lump crab meat
Vegetable oil, for frying
Lemon wedges, for garnish
Tartar sauce, for serving.

Love crab cakes. When we had our second home near Chesapeake Bay in Virginia, we had crab pots & caught our crabs. I really miss that. We're too old to keep up 2 homes now but still enjoy crab cakes whenever possible. I make mine like y'all, good job!!! xoxo Be Blessed 🤗💕🥰

Could you substitute salmon for the crab in this recipe?

I was wondering if these could have been frozen a bit to help maintain the shape, at least until they were plated? I have had the same problem when attempting to make them. Thanks for the show, lol.

Absolutely! You could stick them in the freezer for 20 minutes before frying them up. That will help them keep their shape. But, as they fry, they start to adhere together nicely. They are such good crab cakes!!

You actually before adding the crap should’ve mixed everything together well, that way you wouldn’t have crumbled all your crab up I’m speaking from Maryland. We are the state of the crab crab should be last when everything else is mixed.
