Beef Birria Tacos are possibly the best tacos in the world. Slowly braised beef in a chili pepper broth and then shredded to melt-in-your-mouth perfection. Nestled into a lightly fried corn tortilla with melty Mexican cheese and then served with an incredible beef consommé dipping sauce. Through-the-roof delicious!

Beef Birria Tacos Ingredients:
6 ancho chiles
6 guajillo chiles
2 chile de arbol
3 Roma tomatoes, halved
1 large onion, quarter
4 garlic cloves
3 lb chuck roast
3 beef short ribs
Salt and pepper
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp black peppercorns
3 bay leaves
1 tsp Mexican oregano
1 cinnamon stick
1/2 tsp ground allspice
2 tbsp distilled white vinegar
8 corn tortillas
2 cups Mexican melting cheese
2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro, for garnish
1/4 cup chopped onion, for garnish
Hot sauce, for serving

Oh wow!!! Those are the best.. most decadent tacos I've ever seen. I love making homemade chili sauce from dried chilis, so I'm definitely going to make these! And I (((love))) those dishes you served them on! 🤗🌮💕

They are a little involved, but not too bad! Just need some to time to braise the meat. But, we agree, they are SO GOOD!!!!

I’ve made these before and they are amazing. Those dried peppers are so flavorful. The consommé is what makes it over the top!!! Great video.

Thanks, Amy! They really are incredible! We agree, the consommé is what really makes them so addictive! We love the hint of sweetness from the cinnamon and allspice, too. Not too much, but such a wonderful flavor profile! LOVE that you make them, too!!! Woo hoo!

@@HowToFeedaLoon I have not tried them with cinnamon or allspice, but I might have to do that next time. Also, like you mentioned in the video, it is really delicious with fresh lime squeezed on it. I could eat Mexican food every single day.

No offense, Consumme is a clear broth. We put ours through a 'fine' mesh bag. Also you forgot the diced onion & cilantro inside the taco and in the sauce you"ve called Consumme. Still looks like good food tho, but clarifying the chilis will also help to remove the 'bitter'.
