Rarran you truly became one of the best Hearthstone content creators

I’ve a small recommendation when doing runs for tasks (at least till task 7): I group 4 merchs that fit together (for example rag, geddon, anton and Diablo) and doing runs for them, collecting quests simultaneously. You have several “catch-up-tasks” like “doing a bounty on 30”, that will be always task 5. You doing all the 4 mercs till that point, doing the bounty of your choice and fullfilling 4 quests at once. The same gois with 40 kills and task 7 (2 heroics). This takes up an evening maybe, you have to repeat several times dusk wood runs and getting mysterious stranger. And, you don’t push 1 char straight coinwise but on the other side 4 chars same time. And, if not specifically mentioned, the kills and runs don’t have to include the chars which tasks are on the board (unless you have to use specific abilities of them). Just a small guide, I am missing just 11 merchs for task 7, all are 30 :)

Great vid Rarran. Just to add my 2 pence. King Mukkla is a really good stand alone PvP hero to open with because of the Taunt it summons.

rarran, like your mercenaries content and having seen you climb. fun stuff! ima leave you with my build thats winning alot of matchups if you wanna try it or judge it >< no matter the match up, opening three mercenaries are: brightwing, fairie breath equip. xyrella, binding light equip. samuro, uprade attack equip. bench is: tavish, rigged wiring equip, persistent explosive traps. saurfang, whirlwind equip brukan, chain lightning equip. premise is you want to kill scaling greens and dangerous green first. blues dont matter. reds will also get melted your bench always comes in with board wide nukes. it always comes in with a ton of stats too, cause brightwing buffs one +3/+9 each round

You absolutely wrecked me on ladder with a less budget version of the voone/samuro build! good to see some nice f2p options and that the meta wont just be tavish jaina varden cairne diablo blinkfox/rag

F2P Farming comp - Millhouse, Varden, and Natalie with her task 7 equipment has been amazing for me and let me farm all but 3 legendaries that I got from packs as well as level every mercenary I have in the process.

is it worth to craft legendaries with the coins? I have enough for a legendary but I feel like its a waste of 500 coins... Should I wait till I get them from packs or just craft and get tokens from tasks etc..? I am f2p

the ork comp could work well with tavish, cairne or/ and dawngrasp couldn't it? has that been tested?/I don't like xyrella in this comp anymore because she is basically useless against most of the caster meta

i had some fun with aoe comps - dawngrasp, millhouse, thrall. problem is there is no good spammable aoe yet

I was just about to ask you about budget comps.

Budget beast nature comp: Krush, Anacondra, Guff, Mukla, Carin, Brukon. This comp actually takes full advantage of anacandra's health to negate a whole lot of damage (30 on krush) while Guff just destroys your opponents team. Bring in mukla after the blues are gone and you can mop up.

I haven't Cairne but i have Lich King, can he replace Cairne?

Hi @rarran I am currently stuck on task 10 baron geddon where I have to increase the speed of a friendly ability by (3) in one turn, however I don't understand how any of the abilities he has would help with progressing in this task. Do you know if this is a bug/will get fixed?

You should put in order the mercs. The firts 3 are those start. Then the sugest order. Keep up, You are doing good videos 👍

talking about first shadow comp , is it better to have natalie or varden?

I grinded to above 5000 in a day with Carriel Xyrella Samuro, Guff Brukan Anacondra, then I lost two games in row and called it for the night. Then I swapped Carriel for Dawngrasp and have been winning 3 games a day for the chest. I have Tamsin and Voljin (with task 7 equipment), but no third Shadow fella to complete the comp. iirc I’m close to crafting Sylvanis. The main problem is that idk how to get new mercs. I completed all the Hearthstone quests for gold and got 3 packs, but they were all tokens and aesthetics. Is there a way to guarantee new mercs?

Mine is Sumaro, Tavish , Dawngrasp , tamsin , voljin and Cairne . Sumaro, tamsin and Voljin frontline.. easily counter Sumaro Xyrella since I hit them first . Tavish is just insane .

Honestly, i wouldn't bother with f2p comps, if it involves grinding for them, which to be competitive is a must anyway, so it kinda defeats the purpose. The Xyrella, Samuro, Cariel setup is enough to go through the pve content and most of heroic. By the time one finishes there should have been some drops that change the situation a lot, maybe you got some good drops, maybe not, doesn't really matter. But let's assume the packs were utter trash or you didn't open them for some reason. The mentioned setup is great to farm Lord Banehollow (Felwood - Last Bounty - Preferrably Heroic) which gives you coins for Anduin, enabling even faster clears if you put in some effort for Prophet Velen (Blackrock Garr - Probably go with regular on this one, drops Jaina as well if you get lucky, so there is also some progress there) as well. With that basis almost all pve content becomes easily farmable. Also use the fighting pit early, since you likely get matched with bots, which should be easily winnable almost 100% of the time and also offers additional packs as rewards. That is not me bashing f2p, in fact i think mercs is a good bit more f2p friendly than regular hs nowadays. If you do the math or google the tables, all 18 tasks give you almost 1000 coins + 3 packs per merc before taking into account random coin drops from/for other mercs. It might take a while, but that is A LOT of free stuff, that you can in fact grind if you want to, or just take your time and do the daily tasks, which ofc will take a lot longer than if you rolled mysterious strangers all day. But remember, you are still early. The guy starting a few months from now would wish he had started when you did, p2w will only get there faster and then sit on useless coins (probably a skin outlet in the future ?). That is the choice though. So just sticking to the initial setup and grinding it for packs is a viable idea, if you have the patience for it. If you avoid buying mercs just because you can, let's you squeeze out more tasks for them, if you want to go down that route. For example i have like 1000 coins for King Krush (without having done a single one of his tasks since i don't own him yet mind you, so i already have useless coins in a way), but don't plan on using him any time soon, so i don't craft him so i don't get tasks for him and instead roll mercs i actually want (can't help random drops from packs though ofc).

I hate the Xyrela Samuro comp. It's obnoxiously prevalent, super braindead, super fast, and forces you to basically run Cariel or Mukla or die. It's taking the fun out of playing around with stuff 😑

Legendaries shouldn't be in a comp for f2p. Those starting out won't have any.

All mercenaries comps are F2P, some of them just need more time to get and upgraid. (I am Russian)
