@@EverythingElliott No, I'm totally serious. Just brought home a bunch of wood to cut and stack, and as I get older it becomes more of a task. Then today I have the ah-ha moment to see what tools are out there to help move it around

@@EverythingElliott Ok, so having now discovered this new world of tools, I'm having a bit of difficulty deciding which would be best for me. My typical scenario is: 1.) Fetch free firewood from sidewalk or backyard and throw in the back of my 03 Tacoma that has a camper shell 2) unload into wheelbarrow and dump into my backyard 3) carry pcs to cutting stand, and lastly 4) stack on drying rack. Yes, lots of handling - but it's FREE wood! The worst part is picking it up off the ground in the yard and carrying to the cutting stand, then picking up and stacking on the rack. Which tools would you use in this case?

@@mlb6d9 depending how large the rounds are....if they are smaller and relatively easy to handle, I would recommend the hookaroon. If they are larger and more cumbersome I would recommend the log ox!

Have never tried the zip tie method so wondering why you have to mark all cuts first. Gonna try it and will try to just make the cut since saw will be in position.

I guess you don't have to mark all the cuts and could go full cut...guess just the way I've always done it and old habits are hard to break they say.
