INGREDIENTS:
✓EMPANADA FILLING
• 500g chicken breast
• 2 tsp salt + 2tsp salt
• 2 tsp ground pepper + 1 tsp ground pepper
• 200g tomato sauce
• 2 tablespoon sugar
• 1 onion, minced
• 5 cloves garlic, chopped
• 2 bell peppers, chopped
• 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
• seasoning (OPTIONAL)
• 1 cup cheese, cut into small cubes
• 1/2 cup raisins
• 5 boiled eggs, chopped
✓EMPANADA FLAKY DOUGH
~ WHITE DOUGH/WATER DOUGH
• 3 cups all purpose flour
• 1/4 cup sugar(50g)
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 cup lard(50g)
• 50g butter or margarine
• 1 cup cold water
~YELLOW DOUGH/OIL DOUGH
• 2 cups all purpose flour
• 150g butter or margarine, soften at room temperature(add a little water if mixture is too dry)
YIELD: 33 flaky chicken empanadas

Nakakatakam naman po yan! Makapagluto nga rin niyan. Kesarap talaga ng pinoy food. Healthy na mura pa at masarap. Sana makapag inspire pa kayo ng mga kagaya kong mahilig din po magluto. Salamat po ng marami. Stay safe and healthy as always po.

Hello Christine. I want to try your delicious empanadas. Instead of frying , can I bake them ? Also on your video regarding the 2nd dough ,you didn’t add water. But on your ingredients and procedure, you mentioned we can add water if it’s dry... how will I know if it’s dry? And how much water can I add ? Thank you .

Hello💖Yes ma'am, chill empanadas in the fridge for about 20 minutes before baking. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 200°C🙂

You can add water atleast 1/2 tbsp at a time, 2nd dough consistency should be slightly crumbly but smooth and holds its shape. Thank you 💖

Ito yong gusto ko gawin empanada de kaliskis ma fofrozen na nmn ang balikat ko sa dough kapag marami..tanaw ang hacienda sis 😁

I tried your recipe it came out perfect delicious but for those with heart problems, this food not for you it is loaded with fat like butter ,lard and more butter and of course you want it to look appealing, so you fry them that added to the the insult.
