Implemented the setpieces and in my first game, scored 3/4 goals through set pieces, a corner, a freekick, and a counterattack. Great content

The defensive set piece counterattacks are massive! So many free 2v2s with your best players in loads of space, which is often what people pray that their regular tactics can accomplish a couple times in 90 minutes.

Great guide, very useful. I liked how you described the reasoning. I would find throw-ins very useful. Also, some alternate set pieces would be great for when teams figure you out

Nice video. Like your sense of humour. And the set pieces seems good in my tests. Have been looking all over for some good tips on this. Haven't really been getting anything else working this well.

for "direct free kicks" is it necessary to put taker with opposite foot so for left free kick right footer and vice-versa ?

Hi, rewatching again to freshen up. I noticed you said that height and jumping reach are factored in, but the official guidance is the jumping reach is the maximum distance a player can reach with their head. While a player must have good height in order to have a good jumping reach rating, height is not factored into the match engine algorithms.

I know. This is literally what I was referring to. However, my experience that height does play a part - my theory being that a taller player will more likely reach higher whereas a shorter player with good jumping reach has the potential to get there but will not as often.

@@Clayts haha, it is definitely controversial with a bunch of different opinions. If I may offer what I think you're seeing, is that other ratings such as anticipation, bravery, aggression, and strength is the difference between two players with matching jumping reaches. Taller players will typically have better ratings in those areas

Attacking direct free kicks are usually just a shot, the default is fine

@@Clayts fantastic! also do you have any idea what makes set pieces so buggy in this game? I've noticed that stuff will look off and when I go back into my set pieces to look, my players will have ended up in random spots or the assignments get messed up fairly often. Even worse, sometimes my players won't line up where I tell them to, even if the set piece routines are intact.

Well they do matter for sure - the set piece is definitely buggy, but where you set your players up to be definitely does matter

@@Clayts Yup. Struggle because of low-quality players. Jumping reach below than 10 as an example. But it's ok. I Will try to setup similar like you. I love in swinger cross bdw
