Ok, Plot Professor, am I understanding you that just about any food plot is good for turkey and deer? Guess that makes perfect sense. 50 years ago back in the 1960's there weren't any turkey in Kentucky (other than a couple places). So seeing turkey in most of the farms and fields today is a real treat!!.

Great video . The number of trappers is down across the board which was a huge help. The predator hunters in my area would have coyote hunting contests . That was a huge help. Yet Ny state has now banned any hunting contests like that. No coyote hunts, rabbit, woodchuck etc contests that would be put on at your local gun clubs or volunteer fire departments. We can still have fishing contests but that's it The turkey population in my area is doing well on my land but it's the same problem with the deer. The Amish are my neighbors and they kill everything. They are nice people but bad for the environment.

Good info Wes. It's that time of yea to hear the turkeys gobble and I heard my first gobble of the year this morning. I was half way through my first cup of coffee when I heard the gobble. I turned a little to see out of the kitchen window and there he was going from the lawn into the corn field. Great start to the day!

Guess it is a good sign, but I hate those bastards. I have around 40 on my plots and. And man they destroy a lot of seeds and new plants.
