In this video I got the chance to take a look at the fast ace ALX13RC 2.0 forks made for the surron lbx or talaria sting.
I show an unboxing of the product as well as install and review the forks and give honest feedback to you on how I think the forks perform.
Overall I really loved the way the forks felt and handled on the surron. Next time with the fastace forks I will try the 60lbs rated spring and compare the difference between those and the 50lbs spring.

Definitely worth the money mate! Amazing forks!! Much better than fox 40’s or any other mountain bike forks that people put on the surrons!! It’s not possible to change just the fork legs as they are thicker in diameter so new triple clamps would be needed. The fast ace triple clamps are nicer looking too in my opinion! 🙌🏻🔋⚡️

New battery and you are done. What about jack shaft, how is it holding up? After 2 years I got some clicking when accelerating. ✌

Yeh you’re not wrong, a new battery, new linkage and triangle, new wheels are on the way, thats about it. My jackshaft is holding up well, no weird noises and the bearings seem good still. I plan on doing a full rebuild in the new year so will renew basically every bearing and seal etc

How’s the brake lever regen on the TC500? Reckon it could save you from having to upgrade the brakes when upping the power?

It’s a bit of a strange one. I personally dont like how it feels when braking, the motor brake makes it feel juddery and uncontrollable. Alll depends on personal preference but it does help with braking. My next video withh be about brakes and how to make them better, stay tuned🔋⚡️

Hi, how are you going on with the fasrace forks, have you needed to upgrade the spring yet, just looking at upgrading my suspension now after battery and torp controller, I'm looking at the vonkat rear shock but don't know what to go for on the front.

Vonkat rear shock is a good choice for the price! Fastace forks are definitely worth it but i do recommend getting the 60lbs version if possible. Im getting on fine with my 50lbs version. They handle everything i put them through and they’re a great upgrade from the forks that come on surron wether it be the KKE or DNM etc!💯⚡️

Are the bolts and threads metric? And do they sell a rebuild kit for the fork as well?

I believe they would be imperial as they are mostly sold in USA but don’t quote me on it. They sell replacement seals and a few other parts on their website as well as a fully built left or right suspension leg💯🔋⚡️

Looks great on your bike. I think it is a better option than fox 40 since they are made for surron not for mtb. Ferro are really expensive and personally I would not use them to the max so if I decide to upgrade forks this is it, good price and performance 👍

Thanks man, look good dont they!! I have to agree with you as well. The fox 40’s perform great but they’re just not made for the surron so i’ve heard people having problems with them. EXT forks would be the ideal option but you’re right, for the price fastace has got to be the ones!

The Ext is the best fork for surron and fastace is probably number 2. You'll want to change your seals asap because they will start leaking. Send your fork to charged cycle works they'll make your fastace feel amazing.

Yeah I agree EXT fork is definitely going to be the best forks for surron but i’d day for the price the FastAce are a good competitor! Definitely going to be changing the seals very soon and upgrading to the 60lbs spring as i still have the 50lbs spring in them. I’m from the UK so wouldn’t be any point sending them to charged cycle works. We got a K Tech suspension store over here so will end up taking them there for a full set up and service very soon!! Thanks for the advice though 💯⚡️

What is the 2.0 and 1.0 difference?

That is a good question tbh! I’ve not really looked much into the 1.0 but the one thing i have noticed is on the 1.0 the adjustment caps on top of the forks are orange and for my bike i would prefer that over the silvery bronze and blue ones that are on the 2.0. I’ll have to make another video soon mentioning the differences between the two. There will be more videos to come on these forks for sure!

Absolutely not a budget fork!!! I have 1.0, when purchased it was positioned as for Surron, upon installation it turned out that it was for a DH bike!!! My Surron immediately sank halfway through the fork travel! Support, fast ace, doesn't work, they write letters, but nothing more. I live in Russia and because of toxic Western politicians, I don’t have the opportunity to pay for the purchase of a fast ace spring with a dirty green piece of paper! The Chinese did not offer any options, unsubscribe, unsubscribe, unsubscribe!!! I selected a spring from those available, installed it, and went... Three months later, my right leg began to leak!!! After six months of use, the left one started leaking!!! You ride for two days, repair for one day 😉 REAL CHINESE QUALITY!
