Very nice video of a very nice airplane, demonstrated by a very nice guy. Very nice devs as well, doing this nice overhaul of the already very nice default Baron. Nice scenery and nice piloting skills, rounded off with a nice landing. Maybe do a flight to Nice some time?? Over all very nice, Steve! Have a nice week ahead! Yep it’s very cool. I took mine for a flight and decided to cut the Left Engine, then Feather the Prop. It Feathered then stopped. I had turned off the Ignition and pulled the Mixture back. Then I turned the Ignition back on and pushed the mixture forward. I then pushed the Prop lever forward, the prop came out of Feather and the Engine then restarted.

I'd been averaging 4 or 5 attempts at starting each engine, but I'm now down to 1 or 2. Once you have the prop turning up to speed, release the starter (if you're using a mouse like I am) and QUICKLY close the throttle and open it again. It's not easy in VR (hence the '2' in '1 or 2' - I keep grabbing handfuls of levers, and by the time I work out which to let go of it's often too late), but when you get it right it fires up almost every time. Re: the new turbulence settings, I flew real world in my mate's C172 yesterday with moderate turbulence on the approach, then flew the same approach with real weather (a pretty good representation of the conditions) in the WB sim C172 about an hour later. I found that medium was by far closer than realistic, although that might only apply to smaller aircraft.

That small rotating indicator is prop synch, when it stands still they are in synch 😊

Try failing an engine in flight and doing the procedures feather etc. You will need separate throttle and pitch controls. This is good fun especially in VR.

Like 16, was kinda late watching your wonderful video of this new top GA Twin plane. I love it. Too bad you did not take the faster more powerful variant that comes with it that has winglets and more turbo whistle sound, Does the one you flown have turbo's? you forgot the set barometric pressure with B key so your shown altitude was not reset with airport... Was 43 degrees C that showed with little red led on the left so a sauna plane ;-) You did set AC and was 3 degrees C so your C310 like score on the EFB would have been terrible from your passengers lol :-) Love the plane and hope Black Square so lots more default planes including the Carenado ones also. Great times in MSFS2020 4 sure. Enjoy your Sunday

I believe this is the unicorn of Blacksquare... Caravans are a rare breed, King Airs are too complex for a one man operation. This is a Baron on Steroids: same complexity , twice the engines (...who wants a Baron now?)

@@VRFlightSimGuy Yep all good, the new storage battery went in last week so now have spare capacity for some MSFS. Funny thing, these things cost thousands and there was me stressing out with it being force charged to balance cells, costing me £1.80. Wife thought it was hilarious 😂. It's not the cost but the principle!,v she doesn't understand! Defo up for the next community flight if I'm around. I've had to miss a couple. Hope all's well your side too?

Great video. The MSFS generic version is my favorite because it goes well with the Honeycomb Alpha and BRAVO. I will purchase the upgraded version. Thanks. I still don't know how to get the backseat window views. I found that taking off the VARJO AERO headset before or after entering or existing VR, if I have been doing any flat-screen flying ( which is not that often) will mostly stop CTD. Especially at the end of a flight. Thanks again for another great video.

Thanks mate, with this version, you can slide into the back seats. A great way to enjoy the flight once in the cruise. Thanks for the tip, the CTD issue is soooo annoying, especially when in the middle of a complex video. Take care.

Nice video Steve. I've used my DOF H3 with SFU motors for about 1 week now and, unfortunately, I think it's far from ideal for flight simmers. The juddering of the movement breaks all the immersion for me, it just doesn't feel life-like at all, far too jerky. Luckily I'll get my money's worth using it in racing Sims.

I came close to buying an H3 after Steve reviewed it, but don't fly enough in VR. You can get away with a large fixed monitor (or triple) for racing but not flight sims. I'm still interested so value your feedback. Are you possibly setting too much movement as the ballscrews should be smooth? I saw a video on a 6DOF rig in DCS and F18 where he pointed out that you only need about 10 degrees of bank on the rig as you will be flying co-ordinated turns. If you see this Steve I wonder what settings you're using and if large or medium? Edit: just a thought but could initial acceleration be set too high?

Sorry to hear that. My previous knowledge of motion platforms is close to zero, so for me, especially considering the price, it's transformed my hobby. I've yet to try any race sims.

@@VRFlightSimGuy My experience is only from arcade race simulators 🤣, but I have constructed a 2.5D large (4x2 feet) wood router from scratch, and also converted a mini metal mill to CNC control. Tuning the acceleration makes a huge difference whether using stepper motors or servo motors.

Took me a bit of tweaking of my Alpha to get mouse to work on starter. But WOW, this is incredible! How do we see the Vertical speed we set on the AP? Found Answer…Gotta right click on mouse over the altitude set dial and it turns into vertical speed dial. But it does that silly quick zoom-in.

@VRFlightSimGuy - could you comment on your experience with the AMD 7900XTX card? I.e. could you tell me what you estimate is the performance loss due to streaming encoding? If you use the Pico 4 and the Varjo or HP, what is the performance loss/difference with the Pico 4? This would give us some indication on how much performance is used for the streaming, and compare it to how the Nvidia competition works with Pico 4. Some people claim the 4000 series double encoding units make a real difference. Doesn't need to be perfectly exact, just your impression would be a great help. Thanks!

Unless I do a back to back test with the 4090 in the same PC, I won't be able to give you an accurate figure sorry. I am planning on doing this soon though, once I get my hands on the X3D chip. I do have a fair few 9700 XTX videos out now, using the Pico 4 too, I'd recommend giving them a watch if you haven't already.

That is a VERY good question and honestly, I've no idea how it does it, but while in VR, it feels great! I'd imagine with all 6 degrees it would feel even better.

It probably depends more on which aircraft type you prefer. I do love the 310, especially with the visible wear and tear, but what Black Square have achieved here is remarkable and from an electrical systems perspective, probably has the edge.

Why Does your Video Shake like an earth quake? I don't understand why would VR Cause that? Also, your Real yoke does not fully animate the virtual one. I see it move some, but when you move the real one a full turn, the virtual one does not follow completely. So I hope you can explain that for me. oh, and I meant to ask, Do you have a haptic chair with a butt Kicker? For added realism? Sincerely, Terry
