@BenIsVeryTired yeah it´s a LAP top something you can put on your LAP. Razer LAP tops get super hot which makes them uncomfortable on your LAP. Also they´ve fans on the bottom which makes them desk use only. And they have max 3 hours of battery life which makes them a pain in the ass for people that need a laptop without carrying around a massive powerbrick and having to find a power outlet. It´s really just a portable pc not a Laptop.

Here’s the thing, I can unplug this laptop and take it with me to office (and vice versa) where I connect it again to do my job. If I am travelling for long durations, I can take this with me and power it wherever I’m going. Good luck doing that with a desktop or a console. These laptops are indeed portable gaming PCs. You can take them to different places and you can still play games on it just fine, even on battery. But portability doesn’t only necessarily mean gaming on battery. You can use it as a laptop for lightweight work or you can connect it to a wall outlet and use it as a portable desktop.

@@aquoy that’s not going to be enough, this thing is going to be at 100 C for pretty much it’s entire life. It’s why most gaming laptops degrade so quickly, the form factor required for a laptop just is inadequate for the amount of cooling these power hungry components require. So until we get super low power, high performance gpus gaming laptops are kind of a terrible investment.

The performance of these specs is fairly close to their desktop counterparts. The issue isn’t that. It’s over longer periods of time. If you’re working for 20 minutes you won’t notice much of a difference. Edit & gaming for 5 hours straight tho and you’ll see it throttle.

Yeah that sucks, in Australia we have a finance scheme called latitude pay that allows you to pay off PCs in either 12 months or 24 months. I'm not sure whereabouts you live but maybe financing a PC could be a viable option for you.

@@ronaldo_isbetter hes not serious, gaming laptops are known for having bad batery life, but it should have decent battery life considering modern gaming laptops such as a rog g14 can last 10 easy hours or more.

No one expects a thin, portable device to preform idenical to a pc the size of a mini fridge. A 4080 laptop is about as powerfull as a 3080ti.
