Yeah, I've been thinking a lot about this lately. Been seeing a lot of "Can't wait to make so many memories with these buy-it-for-life shoes/jacket/watch/etc." from people who go through so many of these things I don't know if they even get any longevity out of then. Seems like materialism with extra steps and a heftier price tag. Don't get me wrong, I love nice stuff, I just think more people should be buying _less_ nice stuff and enjoying it for the years they were promised when they invested in quality.

Good list Carl, as you said, none of this matters… It's just stuff there will always be more stuff. You can't replace family or friends, but we watch this to nourish them with love and hopefully something that will be used with love.

Loved the side bar around the apron and my wife got a kick out of it too! Haha Hope a loved one of yours gets you that. I LOVE those knipex. I’m a DIYer and do some side jobs here and there and always have those. Especially working on my car sometimes they’ve been able to get stubborn bolts. I like that Klein bag a lot. I have a bucket boss and would highly recommend that as well. I’ll probably grab one of those Klein tool bags when the old craftsman one I have finally gives out. Great list and message at the end.
