You dodged a bullet not buying the current RoG Ally with their design issues and aversion to warranty support and customer service. It's well worth picking up the Odin 2, if it's in budget, though. It's going to be a while before we get a smaller Odin 2. Even the coming Odins, aren't dethroning it, just more budget options or something.

@@washuaiI don’t know, the $399 price for the base version seems like a tempting price. The one system I like to emulate is the wii U. And so far only x86 systems can do that. I have a Switch and don’t plan to pirate switch games. Not while nintendo still sells and support the games.

That's because it's nothing but amazing, I even watched RGC and Techcravers recent review after I did mine and Ayn is truly making a name for themselves!

I don't think they've released shells for these YET however it would be cool if we could buy them or get the schematics if we wanted to 3ds print shells ourselves.

I too love my Odin 1 Pro for many reasons, mostly because my kids now use it for Minecraft and Roblox which Roblox isn't available on the Switch otherwise they'd use their Lites for that.

That is something I've yet to test! I heard you can play Fallout 4 with some configurations I think the only reason I've yet to try is because I have a Rog Ally.

Nah I don't much care for ESDE anymore the developer is toxic and doesn't listen hence why it has so many issues getting on Google Play or Amazon Store. Why Daijisho did well or other front ends, is because they learned how to code for Android porperly.

Algorithm isn't doing its job that's probably why, it's crazy though March/Apr averaged 3k gamers each month so far halfway through May only 477 gamers have subscribed. Sharing is caring though so hopefully the channel gets shared more all around!

Those actually came with a clear Switch Lite case. The reason they're on it is because it's one of the Base Models going back to the DMG Clan so I have the case and the stick caps. I'll link the shell I bought the only place I've found them separate was AliExpress.

Hey, so for the simplicity, ergonomics, power, and just less headaches of setting up emulation get the Odin 2. I own so many other devices and honestly the Odin 2 truly is what I call the God of all these handhelds still to this date. The price vs performance even for the Base model I can't believe it's only $300 USD for it considering my phone with the same processor is still $600 more brand new. Sure a phone has a few other things like a camera and radio band for a sim card but it doesn't compare to this amazing handheld I literally almost play on daily. Everyone that has purchased one that has asked me about it even a friend of mine who is local, has not been upset about it. My friend was like a kid at a candy shop when he found out how well it could play Wii on the go upscaled to 3x resolution too.. So end game for devices still to this date is this device, ohhh and the battery 8000mAh is nutso sauce! I hope this helps you decide as I know you won't be disappointed even with the Base version.

The Odin 2 truly is a beast handheld I didn't and don't buy certain devices because I trust my gut and from what I've seen now the Pocket S is truly trash lol

It really is and I reviewed the RG556 if you're willing to spend $200 on it then save an extra $100 for the more powerful device.

Ha I would not call this the god of handhelds if I thought otherwise, I have owned a ton of variations of handhelds and Android devices over the last decade +. The Odin 2 is really a device that has handled nearly everything I've thrown at it except of course games that are set back by emulation not being actively developed currently (SNUZU) but even so that emulator was and still is amazing for many games!

It truly is, when I go to play or plan to play emulation my Nintendo 3DS looks at me waiting to be played instead I play on the Odin 2 because the colors and upscaling makes the games looks mint!

The extra ram won't make a difference for PS2 Emulation it's the processor you want. Also should make sure your games are compatible with AetherSX2 as not sure if Mortal Combat is or not but not every game will run flawlessly on PS2 because the development of AetherSX2 has stopped. Hopefully the new emulator is a successor.

I still have the original wallpaper because I use a front end so I don't really notice it. I used to go with a nice scenery though or something I like the most. Just look for a 1080p HD wallpaper of some sort.

Well of course more ram could mean better emulation support but that depends on how the emulator comes across. I've got 6GB of ram in one of my laptops and it runs Wii U without question however not upscaled crazily like my main desktop can handle but still more than enough. The ram really only matters however over the Base model at 8GB if you plan to live stream Switch Emulation from testing it does consume to much processing power to handle it. But I've done lots of testing even screen casting the Odin 2 to my TV and it's really crazy how well it does what it does.

All the way through to 3DS yes but Switch I've only tested Brilliant Diamond. I have yet to beat every game on 3DS but played through a lot of X lately.

As for switch you mentioned brilliant diamond, I think this should proof switch pokemon games should work well but the latest gen violet and scarlet I guess cannot be confirmed to played with no problem. Hmmmmm so fair if I can play all pokemon games till brilliant diamond tbh, since slowly as time passes I’m sure there will be further improvements right? And violet & scarlet should be playing with no problem as well. So alright for the aim I’m going for and prolly psp and andriod mobile games, would you suggest going for the “BASE Odin 2” or “Odin 2 PRO”?

@Blue_Tsuki the Base model is way more than enough I've shared a few videos as to why 8GB ram is good enough.

Oh man GameCube surprisingly enough and Wii are both my favorite on this thing. Now Wii is limited to mostly games that don't require you to use the pointer much but still!

You'll have a better experience on the Odin 2 if you're willing to spend $200 on a Retroid save for the Odin 2 and get the Base model imo. However the new Odin 2 Mini just released I'd head over there and get it even at $339 you're going to have a way better experience with the processor inside.
