Also - fun fact, the ridges on the edges of a coin were first used to prevent individuals from trimming some silver off the edge of a coin then trying to spend said coin.

Sean Yaw's #20 Swayback Wharncliffe successfully evicted my #47 GEC green bone. I've carried Sean's knife every day for over a year. Everything you said about Sean's knives are true. He's truly on his way to greatness.

These are really nice. I forgot about him since he fixed your Propper. Cruwear is tool steel and it'll still patina, a plus for me, but one of these in k390 or M4 would be awesome.

"The Nitrile Glove Guys"- love it! Thank you for affirming my position, hated by some 'collectors' when they see me carrying and using their Grail GEC. It is an act of profanity, debasement, defilement and sacrilege, apparently. One recently chastised me with the words "You have ruined this knife for the entire knife community". Wow, fancy that! And there was me thinking that I'd bought the knife with my hard-earned cash, not merely rented it from a bunch of sanctimonious control freaks.

One can be a collector of things who enjoys using those things. I’ve always hated the sealed grading that seeps into collecting communities. I collect quite a few things and part of the enjoyment is using them, playing them, or watching them,

I’m not sure why everyone overlooks this point, but I think I need to comment on the quality of his ‘Typical KZfaq Commenter’ impersonation. I’ve noted through the decades of watching these videos, our host seems to have settled on a rural accent, with a slight southern drawl, indicative of eastern Kansas to south eastern Illinois. I find this to be spot on, and I commend him on his specificity as well as accuracy. I too hear this particular dialect when reading comments that induce eye rolling. As always, you provide material and content that many, if not all would consider mediocre, and yet without pretentiousness or unnecessary effort. Thank you sir.

My name is also Sean, and while I have never made a knife, I did benchgrind a railswitcher I found on the tracks into a crude cleaver shaped hatchet when I was 8. So I'm doing what I can for the name cohort.

I own a lot of nice slipjoints and one of them is indeed a YAW trapper. I’m pretty good friends with Sean and he is an excellent person first and being a great knife maker is just a bonus! I very much look forward to tricking him into letting me actually BUY a knife from him soon enough.

The barlow is crazy, cool art-deco look to it. love to see the copper; thought those covers were turquoise. I think they go with the copper because how Verdegris; that blue green stuff that ends up on copper as it gets aged and worn by moisture and weather... blah blah blah. it looks neat.

Long as you aren't stabbing things, slipjoints aren't that much of a drawback. It's nice to have something custom and if you do you might as well use a good steel with a good heat treatment.

No idea why it's been so popular the last 5 or more years to take knives apart and "give it a spa day" meanwhile stripping the screws. Dump some windex in it to clean, hit with some air to dry, lightly oil if you like. No need to take knives apart unless something crazy happened. Thanks for not being a take every knife apart guy. The exact reason I refuse to buy secondary. I want people to live with their purchase/take everything apart mistakes.
