I am a health science student studying to be a dietitian. Rehydrating with electrolytes is absolutely key. But also, equally as important, is getting a nice serving of natural sugar because being hungover also means that your blood sugar is low from excessive alchohol consumption. Low blood sugar paired with dehydration really makes you feel like crap! Be aware that alcohol has these effects and drink responsibily, your liver also can only process about 30ml of alchohol per hour, any excess will amplify these negative effects and can excellerate liver cancer. Alcohol reduces the bodys absorbtion of the vitamin B complex. So it also helps to replenish vitamin b6/b12. Replenishing all of these simultaneously literally hacks a hangover like magic. Ethanol is poisonous to the body, drink it responsibly and you won't need an antidote

Honestly your 100% correct. I use like the rehydration packets for runners, drink it a lil slowly. But do it right when you wake up. And then if you can depending on your body and how hard you went try to eat something in the morning.

Best advice I can ever give anybody for a hangover is to try this drink but make a bowl of menudo or pozole and add dried peppers that you can handle but will still make you sweat. This drink will rehydrate you and the pozole if made spicy enough will help you sweat out any leftover toxins that could still be exerting themselves on your body. So remember this smoothie + pozole wit dried peppers. I’ve been blackout drunk had the worst hangover ever and this cured it i even had a hangover with covid (didn’t know I had it at the time) and this helped tremendously.

Just drink a Gatorade/Powerade and obviously water before going to bed. Works well ahead of the game but I’ve never gotten drunk past buzzed so I couldn’t tell ya anything beyond that. I’ve also woken up with a severe headache after only having two drinks the night prior, but that was partially due to little water being drank through the day

Three options ( depends on what time you wake up or feeling like eating) : Eggs , Bacon, Orange juice and water. Pho and water. Smoke a bowl and have a fruit smoothie.

Pro tip. I drink a lot of caffeine and caffeine dehydrates you. I make an electrolyte drink every morning with the following ingredients. I definitely feel different when I don’t drink it. 1 bottle of sparkling mineral water Lime juice - 1 to 2 Tablespoons (or to taste) 1/4 tsp Sea Salt 1/4 tsp magnesium 1/8 tsp potassium

Rehydrating with fluids and electrolytes may help, but the most important factor in a hangover is acetaldehyde. Ethanol is highly toxic to your cells, so upon consumption it is slowly metabolized into acetaldehyde. Acetaldehyde is also quite toxic and it is responsible for the hangover symptoms. The acetaldehyde is further metabolized to acetic acid (vinegar) and that is urinated out. So while rehydrating and other methods may alleviate the symptoms somewhat, the only “cure” is time.
