Rose Anvil would be a good collaboration for any shoe reviews. It would be interesting to have a well used set and new set cut in half over there to go with your experience with them. It may expose or explain some findings or potential points of interest in the shoe. Just an idea and something that may help each others reach on the videos.

Man this is a great review. I have had my eye on this boot for awhile but was a bit hesitant to pull the trigger due to quality concerns. The fact that they are wide should suit my feet quite well. Really appreciate you taking the time to find these alternative pieces of gear and trying them out! I’ll probably get a pair and try them in the Sierras this winter.

Yeah it’s definitely a first impressions. I can’t speak to how they will hold up over time. I’ll be figuring that out myself. But if they last a full season or two then I see the cost being worthwhile.

These kind of remind me of the Merrell's Moab line of boots. I had the same issue with them... they are comfortable, but they seem have a lot of extra "material" on the tongue/upper that bunches up when lacing the boot.

I purchased a pair of Nortiv8 boots a while back. I saw them via another content creator on YT. Had a great discount so figure okay, let's give a try. Have to say I was not happy at all with this brand. I gave them several weeks to ensure it wasn't a breakin issue. Wore them to work all day, walk the dog, errands, etc. But in the end the boots never felt right on my feet. Gave em an honest shot but will not purchase again. In fact the pair I bought I donated to a used clothing group. Hopefully someone will benefit from them.👊🏼🇺🇸

Have you tried the Cungel Hunting boots? Got a pair in ACU/UCP camo and they're super comfy. Also has a very grippy sole and good support. Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to really get them out and test them in the wild hence, the reason why I'm asking.

Are your feet narrow when you say "tiny feet" or do you mean the boot is too long? I'm an REI boot fitter and I have narrow feet (size 12 narrow), so I often use and recommend Superfeet insoles or in a cold weather boot adding a insulated mylar sandwhich insole (sit from a windshield sunscreen) for warmth underfoot as well as taking up excess space.

Like the boot. I do have a question. What was your backpack weight with the 10 mile hike, because pack weight can cause different changes in how a boot carries? Thanks for the review.

My pack was about 15 or so pounds. I do agree with that assessment. If I had a pack of 25--35 pounds, I'd find the lack of a rock plate in the mid sole to be a bigger issue for long days on the trail.

$50 isn't a good benchmark price. $19.97 would be better (worse). Heck, I bought a pair of Helly Hansens on sale for $80. So good, I bought another pair.

I feel $50 is well within the realm of a budget area when compared to the vast majority of big brands. Finding a good sale is always a bonus.

Did I notice the Vibram label on those soles? If so, then they have a feature of any boot I'd want because I've always liked the grip & wear characteristics of Vibram soles. Which brand/model Glove were you wearing? Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada

The yellow label you saw is just the Nortiv8 logo. It’s a generic rubber, not a vibram rubber. The gloves are a discontinued pair from Outdoor Designs. 👍🏻👊🏻
