I'm not big on the ankle support, but I noticed they have the same boot without it. My Merrals are needing replacement, so yeah,.. $50,.. might as well give them a shot.

Imagine wearing boots with open sting hooks and your left or right shoelaces gets caught on it then you trip and fall down a mountain. My 92 year old grandfather fell in his yard wearing boots like this. I felt so bad because I was the one that got them for him. I don’t recommend boots like this ever.
