Thanks a lot for these tips! I've already had a cycle with donor eggs. It was a success! Now I have my little girl and I'm the happiest mom in the whole Universe) I had 2 rounds of IVF with oe. Both failed, unfortunately. At that time I was 36. Then I had 2 rounds with de(age 37 - 38). The first one failed and honestly, I was so broken and devastated I even thought to quit trying... Well, I'm glad I went for cycle #2! I'm turning 41 this year and I'm planning to have another de cycle in 2021! Fingers crossed!

They had said without even checking my cycles to see how I am actually doing. Now the fertility doctor has checked my 1st cycle my tubs he sees everything it's normal and good. Me - TTC : 2years +. Feb 2016- Hsg done -dx with block tubes. I did the surgery and my right tube opened. We tried clomid/IUI #1, but got bfp (chemical). Following medicated cycles with monitoring still no baby. Then had a good consultation with fertility dr. Were finally told to move onto ivf. The process started from self educating which lasted quite long due to some facts. I did another lap surgery. Healed well but I strated considering moving abroad for ivf as it seemed far more affordable there.

I wish I found your videos earlier, I've been google on the fertility clinics in the bay area, I didn't see many comes up until I was already in IVF cycles, which was too late...:-( I am in the Norther Bay area, I went to a fertility clinic in Marin. I have spent tons of money on the 3 IVF cycles, which took 9 months to finally finish up, but it's getting worse and worse each cycle i didn't get one egg to work...I'm 42 now and started fertility since 40...I'm debating if I should just give up using my own egg.

The "other options," "one way or another," and if you're "not ready yet to hear this adoption thing I'm throwing at you it's okay" rhetoric is your only blind spot. You are such an amazing person and doctor. And I know that you consistently make statements like these because you want everyone to feel like a parent. I think what you and others alike don't realize is that for many people egg/embryo/child adoption is not fulfilling for them and does not equal motherhood. And that's okay. I think when you make the assumption that it's an option or that it's something they're "not ready for" that they will eventually just buckle on and surrender to, it is unfair and ignores their values and dreams. The kicker is when it's being said from a high horse or from someone who has privilege because they did actually get the dream of real motherhood. I just hope at some point you can reevaluate the way you phrase this particular piece and wait to find out from each individual what their actual options are before deciding that for them. It might show not only that you haven't given up on their behalf already but that you also are willing to understand them so that they don't feel alienated in their experience. If after trying everything some people just can't be parents, what might feel more validating and healthy would be to accept it and find another purpose in life rather than have the adoption pill shoved down their throats and be gaslit into thinking they should be happy with it and that it's a perfectly viable alternative. So much love to you and grateful for the rest of the work that you do. 💙

Hello Doc! I am 40 and I have 4 children the youngest being 16. I had a tubal ligation reversal. We have been trying for a year but I had to have 2 polyps removed during that time. My fsh was 8 cycle day 3. Would I be a good candidate for ivf? I really want it to happen naturally. I have a normal cycle ovulating between cycle day 14 and 17. Progesterone is always good 7 days after ovulation.

Hello! I’m 40, PCOS, and overweight. I just had my first IVF last Friday (5 days ago) and I got 27 eggs and 12 embryos have made it to Blast! I do feel like CoQ10 and Serovital (HGH type supplement) helped with my quality. Should I continue all these supplements through my frozen transfer in April and hopefully pregnancy? Thank you for calling out celebs! I wish all specialists were as compassionate as you when dealing with older patients. The clinic I am working with does not offer implantation testing! They were actually quite offended that I had done this much research. As they were answering, I was reminded for the umpteenth time that at my age my chances of normal embryos that will implant are low! This is after 13 harvested eggs and 4 fertilized embryos. (Today is day 1 so I have to wait till day 5 but I am NOT losing hope!) I have had 2 fibroid surgeries and my uterus is heterogeneous. No kids before ! Is there anything I can do to see implantation may be successful?

Hello doctor, I am 45 years old, been married for 17 years, never conceived naturally. My husband's sperm count is very low. I have had 2 cycles of IVF, got 2 embryos both the time, however neither time got implanted. I have no other known fertility issues detected in tests.
