Hi! Thanks for your videos, I have a doubt. I'm planning to relocate from Bogotá, Colombia (8'000.000 inhabitants) to Richmond, VA in mid-August, and I would like to know if you could recommend any neighbourhoods full of people and nearby stores like the ones you can easily find in any corner in NYC, I don't like those places that are extremely quiet. I'd have up to 1.200 USD per month for rent. I really appreciate any help you can provide.

The only thing close to NYC would be the city of Richmond and it is definitely apples and oranges. I don't work the rental market so I don't have any insight into what $1200 would get you and where, but my gut is that it won't be enough to get you into a really nice part of the city. You may need to look into getting a room mate to help offset cost of rent, but again I am not 100% certain on that.
