Remember when if you wanted better animations you’d need to download an entire mod for it? I find it nuts that you can get animations that look better than those mods and they are part of a resource pack!

2:20 Hey! I've been using the Skyrim sounds pack for awhile now and I don't even notice it anymore. It just blends into the world so well I love it. Also never even played Skyrim once so the sounds are just really nice to me.

I feel similar about the Skyrim Sounds I even joined their Subreddit but haven't touched the game (Not really feeling a complicated Open World RPG at the moment)

the way i smiled so wide at the last two resource packs. they're both my absolute favorites as well and i think this is the first time i've seen a comp video including them, so it was genuinely just really nice to see you giving it the appreciation n credit it deserves !!

I absolutely adore the Stay True texture pack, it has a really nice aesthetic and it doesn't change that much to the game.

Thank you for the great video! It's so great to see that someone still does stuff like this, thank you for the effort. I understand that while it seems small, the behind the scenes researching and stuff is far more time consuming than it may seem. So thank you! Also, I've loved the Jiklus resource pack for a while, I'm so happy to see it get the recognition it deserves! I thought of an idea too-Server friendly resource packs! I love stuff like this, but sometimes I don't like to see different than others see, when playing on servers. An idea for a video would be resource packs that improve the look of the game, without making your builds look too different than others see, or something like that. No need for credit, seeing the video made would be recognition enough! Again, thank you so much for continuing to do this type of content!

New Default+ is one of my absolute favorite resource packs, it has LOADS of biome specific textures and even makes the same biomes look different in other areas (like in one birch forest the trees will have yellow leaves while in a different birch forest they'll have green leaves) and it's just really a nice pack that makes the world generation look more varied :)

Agree it looks so good. Also the textures for different enchanted books are amazing. My favorite feauture is that you can rename your sword/axe/elytra in an anvil and it changes the texture. So you can have colored elytras or even ender dragon wings

i dont know if you take suggestions/requests but could you do one on aquatic/water focused mods/rpacks? ive been trying to make an underwater server with my friends but i could barely find anything :|

I think you may like Faithless. It is a great rpg pack overall, and also has built in support for colorblindness, arachnophobia, and trypophobia.

I was wondering how those three work together. I'd like the 3D Crops for the mushrooms mostly, and I prefer how Stay True makes the crops (like wheat) look, so I was wondering if there's any conflict or if you could combine them and choose what mod affects which crop or something? And I prefer how Beautiful makes the flowers look but does it conflict with Stay True?

I would also recommend Xalixilax's vanilla improved; it just has a perfect set of tiny upgrades. I often forget I have it on until I notice the occasional flowers on the cactus, or the 3D sugar cane

I'd suggest looking into the Unity resource packs, it's a really great group of resource packs that include a ton of modular features like mod support and even support for SEUS PTGI which gives many blocks nice reflective surfaces, glowing surfaces, even colored light. One detail I was impressed with is the wooden plank textures with the PTGI module has small reflective spots where nails are in the texture.

One of my absolute favorites is the Vanilla Building resource pack , it keeps the vanilla style while almost completely changing every texture , adding connecting textures and also adding many many small enjoyable details , after adding the complementary shaders to it , it looks absolutely amazing , only negative point it has for me is it changes beetroot to corn but other than that its so well made

I was wondering for a mixture of all of this. Like 3D models for building blocks, variance for plants and animated details for decorative blocks with a little bit of personal character. This would be the definitive resource pack ever.

Crops 3D looks great, but I feel like it would work better if grasses and flowers, etc were included as well

@@tehMaloWalo true, but in vanilla they use the same model, two squares crossed, and it looks odd seeing the crops, which are 3D, next to the grass and flowers and fern’s which are still 2D

I’ve combine 2 texture packs to deliver this. It really makes the game laggy if you use it with shaders, but it’s honestly hard to go back to normal 2d grass.

Next time please make sure you include BetterVanillaBuilding, hands down my favorite resource pack of all time as it is faithful to vanilla in the best ways but expands and improves upon it as well

Pablos enchanced vanilla resourcepack, Nether update resourcepack, and Lighter blocks are some really good resourcepacks. Lighter blocks just makes blocks brighter and gives it a bloom effect, Pablos enchanced vanilla revamp all of the vanilla biomes and make them look beautiful just by changing the color, and finally Nether update completely revamps the nether adding flowers, new shrubs, blocks, etc, while all still being a resourcepack.

Now we need a seriously pro resource pack creator to bring the best parts of all of these resource packs together into one. I would love to see the improved 3D textures on the flowers, crops and mobs, as well as the new animations and animated block textures all together!

Fresh animations + reimagined is awesome, but you also have to get the compatibility resource pack if you dont want the cows and pigs to be glitched

Excalibur is good. It has developed into almost a conquest reforged lite but still leans more vanilla. You can also get a CIT pack for it to expand it more, turn husks into NPC wandering models for creative builds.

Not sure if its exactly vanilla, but I consider it as such. The Lithos Resource pack. It is a 32x32 resource pack that I have been using for quite a while now. There are a number of textures it changes, like armor and tools, but I think it allows it to stand out a bit, making a bit of an immersive experience. Check it out if you have the time!

There's a discontinued resource pack called "Pixel Reality" or something similar that I really liked, it has a sort of realistic look while being 16x16 and also very beautiful special lighting.

A really nice texture pack that is pretty much vanilla friendly is Excalibur it isn't very well known but honestly I really love the medieval visuals. I would be greatful if you give it a show case or mention it because in my opionion it really deserves it.

Despite the fact i love the aethetic of Vanilla Minecraft, many of these Resource pack are so basic, don't get me wrong, these RPs are not poorly made(all the opposite), but a they are a concept so basic that is kinda disappointing they're not in the Vanilla game yet, like the animations, reimagined, Stay True and the 3D Crops(i guess this last one is understandable, at this point 2D blocks must be a creative decision so players can instantly tell what can be insta-mined) the animals on the other hand, i don't hate how their designs look, but they don't fully convince me(except the pigs, they look adorable with the ears) Nice video, as always

Might I also add VanillaTweaks to this list? VanillaTweaks is a vanilla friendly resource pack that is pretty much what it's name implies. I've been using for a while and I'll safely say I will never go back. It's a fully customizable pack that lets you choose from their plethora of small tweaks, which include pixel scale consistency fixes on some entities, such as the ghast, fixing some little annoying things (one of my favorites is changing the particles when you eat a bowl of soup so it doesn't look like you're straight eating the whole thing bowl and all), attention to detail, custom main menus, replacing the dirt texture in the menus with a different block, a dark/transparent UI and even several novelty changes like the Technoblade pig (RIP) elytra reskins, and retro textures. Definitely recommend checking that pack out if you don't want to change the default look and feel of Minecraft but nonetheless have a dozen little grievances with some aspects of it because there's a good chance something in this resource pack fixes whatever it is that bugs you.

Better vanilla building resource pack is pretty good too, mostly used to make your builds look a little better but still a pretty good resource pack overall
