Best Prime of all time. Engineering, and sculpting for both modes is just pure genius! As a person who owns both the og version and the nemesis repaint, I cannot wait to see this guy in my collection.

It looks amazing! This figure is amazing and still my favorite G1 prime! I do agree that the side windows would look nice with a darker blue or transparent windows all together. If I could buy either one over the other, it would still be the original, because I like the consistency of the windows, so I'm still happy with the purchase I already made.

Oh shit, COVID really did some damage to you. Most I had to endure was a week of a really bad throat and throbbing headaches. I am ecstatic you are doing better, and I cannot wait to see what you do next whatever it is! You did a great job with the review - sadly, I'm not convinced to buy this variation though. It just seems too minor of a change to warrant another purchase of this mold (still is my favourite figure though - alongside its big brother :)). My ideal version is just the metallic version of the MP in legends form, so I guess I'm still left waiting. Hopefully, MS gets that Slag and Brawl into your hands soon (who am I kidding! They probably have!)

I'm guessing only one of them has his trailer right? I'd probably get the one with the painted windows as the trailer and the trailer hitch for me really do make Optimus look more accurate to how he appeared on the show as his chest windows weren't transparent.

I ordered the one with the painted blue windows as I always wanted to see MS Prime against the NA Prime (I collect the NA figs) and the main reason I got the painted one was actually because of the doors, I will probably leave him as a truck and the see through windscreen but blank doors don't look that nice, especially when NA doesn't have that issue. Still looks to b a great fig and can't wait for delivery. Tbh I like the idea more of non painted windows on the MS figs I've seen as they do look ripped straight from the cartoon. I always looked at NA doing G1 pulled from the cartoon but with the texture look of the Bayverse and MS just straight up pulling them from the cartoon colours and all

I got this guy from bombusbee, he came with a set of excellent waterslide decals. I believe it's out of stock now though.

WHOA. Didn't know that Magic Square did a clear window version of "Light of Victory". Sucks that they didn't give that treatment to *ALL* the windows (the windows on the truck doors are still the same light blue paint apps as the regular MS-B46), but from your copy, yeah, the red paint on the clear blue plastic definitely could've and should've been handled better, especially if it wouldn't be possible to have a clear blue insert in red plastic. This is REALLY tempting me back toward this figure, which I like better than NewAge's "David", but the only problem is that their take on Optimus scales better with "Agamenmnon", their Megatron. (Magic Square's is a bit too tall) Scale is a viciously cruel McBeast... it's why I got certain Studio Series stuff I otherwise wouldn't have considered, like SS34 DotM Megatron, SS74BB RotF Bumblebee (the Buzzworthy Bumblebee version came out in my area first), SS35 RotF Jetfire, & SS44 DotM Jetwing Optimus Prime...because scale...😑😑😑 Great to know you're feeling better, man. UPDATE 2023MAY23: OHHH...oh dear...well, that's not good. I saw Billy the Kid's review of this figure. The paint work on the chest? Let's just say that it was so problematic that he wasn't even able to open the chest up to showcase the Matrix of Leadership...worse yet, as a side effect, he wasn't able to transform it *AT ALL* since opening the chest is apparently the first step in the instructions. Ouch. Gonna need to see more reviews, but that is definitely NOT a good look for Magic Square. (And I don't think that any of the premium painted iterations of "Light of Freedom" had this problem...)

This is probably the only time I'll disagree with you as I still prefer the original v2 release. Simply because I don't like the painted translucent plastic (colours never match) and worse still, the side windows aren't clear too. Great for those fans who don't mind about this kind of thing though so win-win I guess.

Lookit the colour and the fit and finish of this figure, looks amazing. Unfortunately i recently bought the real thing and was very disappointed with it. Its only 12cm tall, not 13cm as advertised, the colour looks NOTHING like in the vid and marketing pics, the colour was more like one of those cheap polyurethane colour, and the figure's fit and finish is terrible, like there's no QC what so ever, theres even burr left over. Jeeezzzz
