Love this Menasor. Had no problems at all putting all things together and love all the options for displaying purposes. To me, Magic Square nailed it. Bring on Magic Square Devastator, which is looking awesome!

Seeing how nicely that trailer transforms makes me mad about that stupid XTB base mode all over again :)

This is my favorite Menasor at any size. Granted, the price is a factor in that. But even putting price aside, there is something to be said for the relative simplicity of transformation and stability of the combined mode. That and it looks really good outside of questionable dimensions on the three street cars. Killer set altogether.

Those little circles you see in the silver part of the sword are ejector pins, that pop the plastic out of the mold when it's cooled enough.

Nice review - Thorough & at times humorous The one thing I would like to have seen - just cause - is a SIZE COMPARISON with Master Piece 'Bots - say a Megatron/Optimus Prime, the 3P MP Stunitcons in behind the Legends, in 'Bot & Alt modes as well as Menasor in Combined mode - much like as wholes, every one has an opinion.......... you have access to them, so it's not a question of why? but WHY NOT?

awesome figure. I recommend purchasing the upgrade parts on etsy for this set. especially the faces. wow. Also I suggest you check out katos collection on how to transform the combiner parts especially the trailer. Found his instructions to be the best. overall cool figure. Cant wait for the neage version to arrive.

Seems like NA kinda abandoned three idea of competing for a Menasor as they got completely outraced by MS and now they seem to have shifted their effort into Devastator trying to get there before MS. This is definitely a stupid battle between them

It's interesting that most modern Menasors have abandoned the little Anti-Roller for the chest piece. Combiner Wars kind of did it with the legends add-on figure. However, to my knowledge the only 3P release to do it was the original one from Fansproject. Intimidator is still one of my favorite releases, not show accurate but man it's an imposing piece to display.

The weird thing about when you put up your reviews was when you posted the motor master one I got him the next day same thing happened when you posted the dead end and dragstrip. I have to say there a great set and look great together in all modes and I 100% Recommend it if your interested

I've got these guys and I'll say bobby is right on the money with the not-100%-positive review. One thing I dislike about the modern 3P Menasors is how Motormaster is just chest filler. On this one, Menasor would look the same with or without him. Menasor is a shellformer. :-) I know options are limited with cartoon accuracy, but I want my cake and eat it too. All in all 8/10 would bobby skullface again.

about the shoulder pads, pegs, - get some nail scissors or something sharp that can slowly trim the peg by dragging the sharp egde over the various sur4aces/sides o4 the peg. Possibly the production process (laser printers?) tends to have some extra plastic, which also scratches away rather easily. 2 mins o4 careul, 'laminating' it makes the tolerances a bit more loose and allows 4 the shoulders to peg in properly. yeah... anyways. hope it helps without to many 4inger wounds. love the side comparison usual suspects. blaster. noice.

Menasor? More like Menazord. Yeah I'm not impressed with the combined mode. It's just a twiggy robot you tack cars onto. But I'm glad I watched this because between this and Tobots, I think I'm really learning what makes a good combiner and good parts-formering.

What would a far price be to pay for an ft motor master

Thats why i bought it, for the options to make my own Menasor the way i prefer it without having to compromise. I dont care for the character itself since it wasnt in the cartoon much, and i werent allowed to have the comics as a kid so i dont know and cant relate to how they were in it. To me its a combiner samurai being anybody elses punching bag and a reason to give the Autobots a jet combiner, so the best rendition in my eyes is IDWs version since it kinda relit my transformers interest when i read that comic. To me being a combiner you arent supposed to hide any team members from the front, i dont care if the show did it. So with all the options we now have, i think i as a customer can afford to be nitpicking among my options and if it is a team that is low on my interest scale, the margin for error is very low so any fault the options have, the more money i get to save for something better.

I didn't see any good reason to change up how the arms are done for the alternate design. Just leave the arms how you had them in the first version to avoid dealing with the loose elbows in v2 or the weird arm look in v3. :) edit: Basically your end result just with the Toy version chest piece, which you didn't show installing. Did yours not come with that option?

Pieces falling off defeats the purpose of legends in my mind, which is playability. All the different build options are certainly a nice touch though.

They seem to have made easy work of the design aspect - especially in comparison to the three very flawed/compromised MP efforts - and the multiple looks seem to have been achieved without much fuss. Am I missing something? Everyone seems to be pointing the cars down rather than up. Was it that way on the 'toon and I never noticed? It's cool if you prefer it that way but I'm puzzled by the fact that it seems so common for people to do so. In general, their tolerance problems manifest more in floppiness than in things falling apart - indeed their products, in my experience, tab together pretty securely. Perhaps my experience is just anecdotal but I suspect they may have leveraged the flexibility and toughness of their materials to overtolerance some of their joints in the past. I'm surprised it falls apart so easily and also that it didn't simply use longer pegs. Seems to really mess up the experience of the figure.

He looks pretty good IMO, but those arms… It looks less like Dead End and Drag Strip are a functional part of the arms and more like they’re large armor pieces due to their size in comparison to the actual arm itself…

No reason X-transbots should been that complicated. None. Menasors head should have been on a solid base. NOT swinging on an armature. His thighs should have been solid. Not comprised of multiple panels.
