I think there is correct reasoning to both sides of this discussion. It is difficult to compete without the new cards, that are hard and expensive to get. There is limited number of archetypes of decks, so we see similar decks over and over again. But I disagree with Romek, that we have only three types of decks and that’s it. Maybe it’s different in high infinite. But for the rest, and it’s thousands of players, the experience is pretty much varied. People are still playing Zoo, classic Destroy, Hela Discard, Surfer, Bounce, Ongoing and some Wongers On Reveal type of shenanigans. I’m not an expert, just an enthusiast, pretty average player. I play since February and I got to Infinite every season with a different deck. So it’s not so boring and repetitive. I think card acquisition leaves much to be desired, especially because this game relies on „packages”. Deck archetypes work properly with key cards only and those are either expensive or hard to get. Also, in last four months they released high number of very strong cards, that took over the meta. Game should be cheaper to play, it would result in more diverse playing experience. But it requires very careful balance decisions. I think that is the main issue. But I have to say, that in my opinion, Snap is still better ran than Hearthstone was. I quit HS years ago, after I was losing constantly to Dr. Balanced and they decided to move Sylvanas to Wild. Crafting cards in HS was very expensive and there was a danger of the card being moved to Wild. I have no idea, how HS situation is now, but I have no desire to check it out. I was disappointed once and that’s it. Marvel Snap has its problems: monetization is too severe, there are balance issues and new features are not being introduced too often. But I think the foundation is solid and some problems are not difficult to solve. We also slowly see some right decisions. What I would like to see is also better communication on Second Dinner’s side. I’m very average player, I know less about Snap, than Romek. I learned to play the game also from his videos. I got to infinite in previous season with a deck Romek (and Cozy) posted. I did it, after conversation with him, here in the comments, after initially giving up on the deck. I will be sad to see Romek quit playing Snap. I hope, that in some time Snap will improve and Romek will return. Until then, I’ll try to learn how to play Nimrod and Phoenix Force 😆 Thank You for Your Snap videos and streams Romek.

Also its a shame about Arishem he is an amazing card but this is how power creep goes but its the card acquisition thats really the problem. With the card pool expanding some old cards can break new cards but the bottom line there will always be a top preforming deck someway some how. Pool 3 is way too big, it was too big 2 years ago they really need a way to get more cards to newer players faster. Their model worked sort of when there wasn’t as many cards in pool 3 but now it insane and they nerfed how much tokens we get in caches. Series 5 should be 3000 and series 4 should be 1000 let players get more cards. Its bad cuz I can’t imagine trying to start the game now with how hard it is to get the higher tier cards.

If they had a shop where you can just use tokens, gold, keys or god forbid credits to buy cards it wouldn’t feel so bad returning because you can single out what you want and build around that. I think if someone wants every card in the game they should be able to somehow achieve that they come out with new cards every week so what would be the problem.

Dude fr you’re going to quit? I mean if you do I will definitely miss your marvel snap content you are hands down my favorite snap creator you are fucking hilarious. I’ll still watch you if you play yugioh or something else but return to snap once and while to see the flames of what you left behind.

I quit Marvel snap a few months ago, watch videos every now and then. This looks like the reason I quit. Huge time commitment for a little fun, constant temptation to buy stupidity, constant feeling of missing out, half a day before you face only meta decks. I spend my money on physical things I enjoy and enjoy the fact I quit.

I tought i'll miss snap,due it's became a bit of a habit to play almost anytime,1-2 game to kill time or just do dailys. But no,i don't feel the urge to play,maybe because the fun factor was almost none existent towards the last (for me) few seasons. I didn't played any YuGioH game,but Joey passion back in the day over hamachi network,where was rules,so the broken cards was forbidden or limited to 1 per deck. But i'm looking for ward to the Yugioh content none the less. \o

Yeah I think this game is probably just too casual for you. I disagree with your master duel points as someone who used to play it ever since the adventure engine first dropped. Any deck can hit the highest rank but in tournaments etc everyone is running the same stuff. Yes master duel takes more skill but because max c isn’t banned you’re running like 10 cards to not lose to it. 3x ash, 2x call by, cross out etc. Also most decks just run the same staples in every deck. Ash, call by, imperm, max c etc. Also there’s less interaction in master duel since you can’t play on their turn most of the games are just otks while you do nothing but idk.

I'm so glad someone else realizes that Arishem has ruined the game. It has focused the game to 3 deck builds that win and all the other cards are crap. The money grubbing devs have finally wrecked the game, congrats!🎉

99% of players leave the game 1 game before playing an actual fun match. I was super hyped for Arishem, but since he came out, meta became so trash that it ended up being the week I have played the least so far this month, we talking about a month with some of the most boring cards to date and the only week with an actually interesting card has been the least fun week.

Simple, Snap wasn't meant to be either competitive or a card game at all. It's a slot machine where you need to pay to get the good rolls and even with that you are subject to luck to win a game.

Theres a massive cope going around the community that Arishem is fresh and exciting when the reality is we are just playing Loki Turbo AGAIN. We are in a never ending cycle of Loki, Clog, Lockdown with each of the current tier 0 decks requiring 6 series 5 cards. You cant even take a break from the game or you will never be able to catch up with out paying to compete. It been months on end since ive lost to a play and thought that was so smart. EVERYTHING is just predictable cringe sequence decks and snapping on turn 6 and emoting. This game is cooked, im not even enjoying when im winning.
