Theres nothing better than that "Mudder" that seems to happen once a year. It turns the best riders in the world into what looks like average Joe's just trying to get around a track. These Mud races can determine who wins a championship, or who looses a championship. The most exciting thing about a Supercross mud race is that someone can step up and take the win. it seems like almost every time there is someone on the podium who would normally probably not be on the podium. Everyone’s had at least one go at riding in conditions as bad or worse than this and it’s no fun.. especially if it’s cold and you’re doing sessions because after the first session you’re soaked.

Here in NY we used to get blessed with torrential downpours. Had one moto were it was all dry and about 30 seconds after gate drop it opened up and flooded the entire track out. 3 of us finished out of about 30.

Other than Reed winning as a privateer in supercross the last privateer to win a moto(outdoors)was Dowd on a muddy day. He didn't even know he was in the lead.
