"Nostalgia Bait" doesn't necessarily have to be a negative term. What makes these songs good? Why are they better than the bad nostalgia bait rap songs? 4 Da Gang by 42 Dugg and Roddy Ricch is an underrated one for me. Samples No One Like You by Scorpions (one of my favorite rock songs) and the bounce the track has is awesome, and Roddy and Dugg killed it

Stronger was done so many times about 100 mixes, including the drum programming which he brought in Timbaland to help, and Mike Dean with his magic of synths and his mixing touches. Ye with his production with the DP sample is amazin’

There's a song by Talib Kweli that samples The Beatles' song, "Eleanor Rigby" and it goes really hard tho despite sounding a little outdated; Its name is simply "Lonely People" and if you make more of these videos, you should check it out

Idk if it counts, but I think Gangsta's Paradise needs to be mentioned here. It samples the instrumental and chorus of Stevie Wonder's Pastime Paradise and in my opinion, does it as good, if not better than the Stevie Wonder song.

A song that I enjoy that does a good nostalgia bait imo is Ghostface Killah's song Holla. It clearly borrows the instrumental and chorus from The Delfonics - La-La Means I Love You but Ghost still makes it feel unique to him. I like the verses in between especially the energy of last lines on the 2nd verse. Also I feel like if Coi Lerays sample flip of The Message was gon be mentioned then so should've Ice Cube's and Diddy & Mase's flips too (like in passing, not specifically having their own entries) because those 2 songs were successful too. But I understand why you focused on Coi's

I feel like Tyler is the perfect example of what good nostalgia bait is. He has so many tracks throughout his entire discography that samples different types of songs to various degrees. He has songs like "Lone", "Odd Toddlers", "Inside of Clouds", that are more obvious in their sample usage; songs like "Running out of Time", "Awkward", and "Ain't Got Time", that aren't so blatant; songs like "Deathcamp", "911/Mr. Lonley", and "Corso", that are pretty average with their samples. Not to mention, like half of the tracks from Wolf are samples from songs in one way or another. Man is truly talented with the way he uses his samples. Bro even sampled his own songs before, i.e "Radicals", and "Tamale".

I mean he even sampled "Fragile" by Tatsuro Yamashita in "GONE, GONE/ THANK YOU" which came out almost 20 years before IGOR and put his own spin to the lyrics.

This might be a hot take, but a great Nostalgia Bait song you forgot is Play Hard by David Guetta, Ne-Yo, and Akon. Unlike a lot of other tracks from David Guetta, Play Hard does a great job reworking its sample of Alice Deejay's Better Off Alone into a new and unique melody that gives the song its own flavor, and Akon and Ne-Yo do a great job complimenting the sample with their unique charisma.

Take Control by DMX has to make the list. So does Slow Jamz by Kanye West. They’re both great songs that use iconic early 80’s R&B tracks and turn those samples into their own classics. Edit: You also can’t forget Whole Lotta Choppas by SadaBaby, Alright by Kent Jones, and Wockesha by Moneybagg, samples Foolish by Ashanti. Excellent “sample bait” songs
