As a waiter - there is so much tension when you take food back, not to put people off returning food, but we get stuck in the middle awkwardly relaying the food the chefs make is bad - wrong.

Trust me, telling them what the customer said isn't the worst. The worst part is the chefs can be super rude towards you saying things like "I'm not f***ing cook that again" and you have to find a way to get what the customer wants and calm down the chefs. I got yelled by them so much for things that aren't my fault.. It's suck being a waiter/waitress

Kitchen is a tough place, it either chews you up and spits you out, or you fire with fire. We are pressured by cooking something at a top tier in a short time while being almost always understaffed/shitty coworkers that ain’t do nothing. We are harsh on each other as well, but we do have some lovely coworkers and waiters out there. I can tell that I haven’t yelled at 50% of our staff ever. As long as you are respective and cooperative - any cheft with dignity will respect and cooperate. I am looking out to my good coworkers by leaving them extra food left and letting take longer lunch breaks that just “inhaling” it. Sorry for any mistakes, English is my 3rd language 🩵
