I am 54, never used an SPF on my skin but I always had on foundation with SPF. I also was not in the sun very much. The difference between my skin and the skin of my friends who were always in the sun is dramatic. If you are young, stay out of the sun or put on SPF several times a day. Your older face will thank you.

I am 31 and I hate to stay in the sun since we live in a torrid zone. And I am using SPF foundation every morning. I look like 25. But my friends who are 25 is look like my age.

Im 45 and have skin as young as a 25 year old(as I’m told) Thanks to my mom who would always have us kids wear big hats in the summer. This one summer I had an outbreak on my face and didn’t go outside much and when I did wore big hats. On vacations we would be the ones wearing the big hats- Thanks Mom for being one step ahead as we grew up ❤️

I agree! Also, I wish I could private message this next comment, because I don’t want to embarrass or offend you. The eyeshadow you have on is a bit much. No offence, just stating my view. It makes you look like you are trying too hard to look young. As my 101 yr old grandmother would say, less is more!
@sunnyroenorth5544
@sunnyroenorth5544 3 жыл бұрын
@@lnayler I find your message very unnecessary, there’s no need to put people down purely because of something that the person wear is not something you like. She is wearing a neutral colour eyeshadow, therefore “less is more” is not something that makes sense. Don’t even understand why would you even want to message someone privately to tell them that you don’t like their eyeshadow look..

Thank you so much for sharing. I just started using “the Ordinary” products. I have the toner, he hyaluronic acid, and the natural moisturizing. I wanted to see how those worked on my dry to normal skin before adding an anti aging product on, and so far so good after 5 days. I think I will do what you suggested and start with the Retinoid for a good while then go to the Retinol. I also started using sunscreen and I no you didn’t want to no if anyone didn’t use it, but if I am being real I didn’t no it was so important because I’m a black woman and no one ever told me, I just recently learned it’s just as important for black people, it’s a stereotype, but thank goodness for people like you sharing here on KZfaq.

I started off with a vitamin c serum a few months ago from The Ordinary.. I noticed the brightness about 1/2 way through the bottle. Since then I've picked up The Daily set and a HA serum. I love how my skin is looking!. Fantastic and price point is even better. Thank you for the info. I will give them a try soon.

I’m 55 and I’ve started using “Buffet” , “Matrixyl”, Niacinamide and Vitamin C serum...I mix it up like you do and don’t use all the products at same time, some morning, some in evening..Also use a Multi Acid peeling solution twice a week...What a difference in my skin,especially the skin tone, I used to have quite a red t zone, not anymore...ps , I’ve always used a spf50 for a few years..it’s last thing I put on before my make up in morning..👍

Hyaluronic acid promotes health, helps in fighting wrinkles, helps prevent skin irritations, helps keep the skin hydrated which sounds counterintuitive since the word acid is in the name but it does help keep the skin hydrated I use it before I use a micellar water. And vitamin E oil which helps discoloration, even skin tone and texture, it helps neutralize free radicals, it helps to reduce sun damage, it works well with spf, it also helps hydrate skin, may help scaring too.

I've been using The Ordinary products ...my skin is looking better. I love the Vit C 30% suspension because the tingles makes me feel it's doing something. I have no irritation or stinging from any of the Ordinary products. Their niacinamide powder is awesome when mixed into my Moisturizing Factors. I used Alpha Arbutin for dark spots for 3-4 months with Zero visible results so I switched to a different company for that. After one month I have seen an improvement with that competing product. Everything else I use for my 59 yr old saggy and wrinkled face are from the Ordinary and they have made a noticeable difference. I highly recommend them.

I had no idea the Granactive Retinoids were the weaker formula. I bought the granactive retinoid 2% in emulsion, looking to 'graduate' to the 5% version in 6 to 12 months. Knowing that now, once I'm done with the 5% granactive, I'll probably get the retinol 0.2%, for another 6 months to a year, then the 0.5% and the 1%. Nice little 3 - or so - year skin care plan.

I need help with when add peptides to my routine. It’s not supposed to be mixed with Vit C, which I use in the morning. But it’s not supposed to be used with direct acids and I use lactic acid at night. When should I use it? Thank you:)

Hi Miss! Loved the video. Can I use the SPF as a moisturiser as well? Or should I apply the SPF before using an actual moisturiser?
@SincerelyMissAsh
@SincerelyMissAsh 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you!! Moisturizer should always be applied before a sunscreen but if you don't want to use a moisturizer then of course you could skip that step and go right in with your SPF...

Hello! I would like to know if you think the Buffet is more suitable for mature skin or if younger people can use it as well I started using it and I’m only 18 with a lot of acne scars and some blemishes, so maybe I shouldn’t? Thank you for your videos, they’re so helpful!

That you for all your tips. I’ve started using 0.2% retinol for about 3 weeks now. I don’t see much results only breakouts/purge around my chin. It’s so disappointing. I’m trying to stick with it and hoping for positive results.

Retinol takes a while for anyone to see results and patience is definitely something everyone needs to have with this product... Purging is normal especially if your pores are clogged, these products help to clear pores which can cause pimples... Give it time!

What do you think is better:to use ulternative retinol/ vitamin c/peptides in the same week ,month or use each one as a therapy for one two months?
@SincerelyMissAsh
@SincerelyMissAsh 3 жыл бұрын
I believe it's better to use these products consistently all the time as you will see better results.. -Vitamin C in the morning -Night 1: Retinol -Night 2: Peptides Alternate your two night routines so that you can get the benefits of both products..

Hi I’m from the UK and just started using the Ordinary products 3 months ago. Could you advise order / timings for these products I have? Cleanse (just read you should maybe only cleanse at night not both??) Tone - I use pixie glow (but also use micellar water if using retinol at night. I also have : Buffet vit c - Ascorbyl Glucoside sol 12% Niacinamide 10% + zinc Caffeine solution 5% + EHCG (only use when required undereyes) Matrixyl 10% + HA A313 retinol Various moisturizers inc the ordinary factors + HA I’m just so confused now as people are saying conflicting things about what works / does not work together. Thank you so much 👍🏻

I am 62 years of age and developed adult acne in my mid-30s. With age and Proactiv I managed to get rid of it. But every time I try do use an anti-aging routine instead of the Proactiv I will get a breakout. I just stumbled upon The Ordinary this morning and as usual with skin care companies they do not give you an option for mature skin with tendency for cystic acne. But I am quite intrigued by The Ordinary products and want to order. Can you give me your thoughts as to the best products to order for my skin? My skin type would be mature, normal with cystic acne tendencies.

I would definitely use the Salicylic Acid Masque. This is to be used once or twice a week. Salicylic acid is one of the best ingredients to incorporate in a skincare routine for acne, cystic acne, black heads, enlarged pores etc. Niacinamide is also great for oily skin and blemishes and Azelaic Acid from the Ordinary is also another great option as well..

The Buffet was a game changer for me and got me addicted to skincare. I now alternate this every other day with the Matrixyl + HA. I like the Matrixyl texture better than Buffet, but because of how much Buffet changed my skin I would never give it up. I might consider the copper one or the Niod copper one in the future. We'll see. oh btw I really love the new FAB weightless mineral sunscreen. I think you reviewed it in another video. I don't have to use a foundation when I use that. Love it!

Hi there , I just recently bought few products from The Ordinary. I have combination skin . I only been using one facial hydrating skin for years but now since I am in the mid 20s , I am noticing that it is not suitable for me . I am having breakout and scars on my face . My face looks dull . I have purchased Niacinamid , Retinol in Squalane , lactic acid 10% , buffet and 100 % organic cold pressed rose hip seed oil . From watching your videos , my AM should be Niacinamide and buffet and PM Retional and rose ship oil , alternate days lactic acid and rose hip right ? Do let me know . Thank you
