I am 54, never used an SPF on my skin but I always had on foundation with SPF. I also was not in the sun very much. The difference between my skin and the skin of my friends who were always in the sun is dramatic. If you are young, stay out of the sun or put on SPF several times a day. Your older face will thank you.

I love the Buffet. The Buffet includes Matrixyl in it already and includes a few other peptide complexes on top of it. So I think it makes the most sense to just use the Buffet

Thank you so much for sharing. I just started using “the Ordinary” products. I have the toner, he hyaluronic acid, and the natural moisturizing. I wanted to see how those worked on my dry to normal skin before adding an anti aging product on, and so far so good after 5 days. I think I will do what you suggested and start with the Retinoid for a good while then go to the Retinol. I also started using sunscreen and I no you didn’t want to no if anyone didn’t use it, but if I am being real I didn’t no it was so important because I’m a black woman and no one ever told me, I just recently learned it’s just as important for black people, it’s a stereotype, but thank goodness for people like you sharing here on KZfaq.

I’m 55 and I’ve started using “Buffet” , “Matrixyl”, Niacinamide and Vitamin C serum...I mix it up like you do and don’t use all the products at same time, some morning, some in evening..Also use a Multi Acid peeling solution twice a week...What a difference in my skin,especially the skin tone, I used to have quite a red t zone, not anymore...ps , I’ve always used a spf50 for a few years..it’s last thing I put on before my make up in morning..👍

I've been using The Ordinary products ...my skin is looking better. I love the Vit C 30% suspension because the tingles makes me feel it's doing something. I have no irritation or stinging from any of the Ordinary products. Their niacinamide powder is awesome when mixed into my Moisturizing Factors. I used Alpha Arbutin for dark spots for 3-4 months with Zero visible results so I switched to a different company for that. After one month I have seen an improvement with that competing product. Everything else I use for my 59 yr old saggy and wrinkled face are from the Ordinary and they have made a noticeable difference. I highly recommend them.

I had no idea the Granactive Retinoids were the weaker formula. I bought the granactive retinoid 2% in emulsion, looking to 'graduate' to the 5% version in 6 to 12 months. Knowing that now, once I'm done with the 5% granactive, I'll probably get the retinol 0.2%, for another 6 months to a year, then the 0.5% and the 1%. Nice little 3 - or so - year skin care plan.

Cleanse (just read you should maybe only cleanse at night not both??) Tone - I use pixie glow (but also use micellar water if using retinol at night. I am 62 years of age and developed adult acne in my mid-30s. With age and Proactiv I managed to get rid of it. But every time I try do use an anti-aging routine instead of the Proactiv I will get a breakout. I just stumbled upon The Ordinary this morning and as usual with skin care companies they do not give you an option for mature skin with tendency for cystic acne. But I am quite intrigued by The Ordinary products and want to order. Can you give me your thoughts as to the best products to order for my skin? My skin type would be mature, normal with cystic acne tendencies.

I am 26 now with super dry sensitive skin , but dont have any acne issue . Can i start using buffet and once i am 30 i should use retinol?

The Buffet was a game changer for me and got me addicted to skincare. I now alternate this every other day with the Matrixyl + HA. I like the Matrixyl texture better than Buffet, but because of how much Buffet changed my skin I would never give it up. I might consider the copper one or the Niod copper one in the future. We'll see. oh btw I really love the new FAB weightless mineral sunscreen. I think you reviewed it in another video. I don't have to use a foundation when I use that. Love it!
