Ordered this after seeing your video when it first came out and just got around to trying it. I was very skeptical about these small sprayers after having horrible experiences with other sprayers. I was very pleasantly surprised! This unit actually works very well and is easy to use and clean. Thanks for the recommendation.

Matt, I’ve been using this sprayer for 3 years now. I like it better then my old Wagner. The different nozzles and tips are what makes it so universal. I’ve painted furniture and even my concrete exterior wall with it:) However, for whatever reason, it’s now missing that white ring gasket. Now it won’t spray. I just bought another one, since I can’t buy the gasket online due to supply chain issues. My advice to anyone buying this is to order extra gaskets and another paint cup to seal up the paint. Then you don’t have to waste paint cleaning the cup and pouring leftover paint back into the can. Also, buy the 3 other tips. It’s a great sprayer!!! Thanks for the video:)

Thank you so much for the review. My Wife has actually been suggesting that I purchase one of those $500 paint sprayers and I watched videos on set and clean up and have been intimidated. I’ve had mine for over a year and I love it!!! It’s much better than my 3 year old $300 Graco sprayer. The Graco has a cup that you have to squeeze the air out to prime which is a pain. But the HomeRight sprayer is much easier, just fill it up and spray. I bought it after watching one of your older videos. Thanks Matt! God Bless!

I think it's worth pointing out that some sprayers really do need the paint to be thinned for a good finish. I find that I need to use up to 30% water if I don't want a rough, splattery finish. The problem I find with water based is that the high flow of air can partially dry the particles before they hit the wood so they don't level out into a smooth finish, which is not always visible until the light hits the surface the right way then it looks nasty. Maybe not necessary with this sprayer but for anyone having trouble getting a good finish, definitely try thinning.

Howdy Mr. 731 If you recall, I'm the one who laughingly "got very upset" with you cause I had already spent HUNDREDS of dollars on a Graco X5 and couldn't get a smooth spray out of it, then saw your old video about this sprayer. Well, I got it...Used it...It worked sooo extremely well, I got pissed (haha). I just couldn't believe a $100 dollar sprayer out performed my $400 Graco. I was NOT happy at my wasted time and money. Sure, the Graco will paint my house real quick, great, but how often will I do that? Oooyyyy!!! For anyone who is reading this trying to decide to get this sprayer, DO IT!! Click Matt's link and get it!! This sprayer is OUTSTANDING!! I just can't stress that enough. Cleanup is a snap. Adjustments for volume control is OUTSTANDING!! It gets the job done and does that job EXTREMELY well. Thanks for sharing Mr. 731 Thank You for being there.

Hey Matt, I bought this sprayer on your recommendation a while back to paint our bedroom suite. Project ultimately turned out great, but I had some trial and error with my technique. I was inadvertently doing a “dry spray” because I set the volume too low and the paint was drying a little in the air. It left some rough spots that are annoying but the overall result we can live with. If you need ideas, maybe you could do a video about painting mistakes (or mistakes in general) you’ve made on projects and how you fixed them? Or painting technique and types of paints you use? BM Advance is awesome! Thanks for all the content and the great recommendations.

Adding water to the paint is a must in my opinion. It will help prevent that rough spray texture. Also play around with the tips, use the wider tips for thicker paint. Also you can lightly sand with 1000 grit in between coats. Just give The paint time to dry before you sand it.
@d-con6825
@d-con6825 2 жыл бұрын
I got you. You need a really fine grit sand paper and a hand sander, paint sprayer, original paint, and a damp cloth ans dry cloth. Start with like 1000-1500 grit and even go to a buffing grit if needed. Lightly sand all of the overspray surfaces until smooth. Use the damp rag and wipe off all the sanding dust. Use the dry rag to dry all surfaces well. Set up your sprayer, turn the paint sprayer down very low to where it's just a setting or two above the lowest setting, then spray the sanded area lightly until it's covered good, but don't spray to much!!!!! Hold it 8 to 12 inches from the sanded surface and feather the trigger as you sweep the sprayer 1-4 times, or until it's covered decent. Let it dry good. If it's not covered good, repeat the feather and sweep technique step. Let it dry. It should be perfect after the 2nd or 3rd time. Just make sure you adjust the flow before you start painting and DO NOT OVER SPRAY the sanded surface. Keep the sprayer turned down and feather and sweep the trigger and gun.

Hey mate, sanding after paint application is just to tooth the surface (scratch it so coats bond), don't be to thourough :). If you want to get smooth finishes, mist the wood with water to raise the grain, let it dry the lightly sand (no pressure, just rub and let the sand paper do its job) with 150-180, if you are going to stain or clear coat. If your are going to paint, prime then sand with 10, undercoat (primer again) with 150, then top coat.

Update: day 2 was a disaster. The needle got stuck in the tip of the red set AND the green set! Had to resort to a roller and brush to finish the walls. I really don't want to give up on it; maybe it is best for little jobs like furniture and woodworking projects, not for rooms and walls? Thanks for the videos and reviews!
