Man, this video was so informative. My daughter's 12v ride on even with upgraded battery capacity doesn't have enough power to get over the small hill to leave our yard. I was toying with the idea of the 4 motor version, but I think this video convinced me to just go all the way with the atv. That one shot that showed the 4 wheel drive lagging and your daughter even said it didn't work very well in the grass was the one that convinced me.

I have this in blue. Bought pink to hand down to my daughter. Had to replace the reverse switch, led headlight switch, rear brake caliper, tires. Go Bowen is easy to work with and great pricing on replacement parts.

I hope you realize when your daughter hit 16 and want her license she will not be interest in cars like the VW beetle, just not fast enough. She will have a mantra, "Most go Fast!".

Thank you for the great video. Very informative. I have 2 boys 4 and 6. The 4 year old rides an Oset 12.5 and the 6 year old an Oset MX10. I really like the idea of the off-road go-cart so they can ride together with a cage around them. I think I'm going to go with the XRX+R that has the reverse and bigger tires. Can you please provide more information on the racing harness you installed on the XRX?

The harness is a "quarter midget" harness. For racing they have like a 5yr lifespan at which point they are no longer "legal" for racing (per sanctioning body). So you can pickuo used ones cheap. I happened to find mine as new old stock that were about to expire.

My Boys are 4, 6 8 and 10 this video was helpful. I'm debating 1 seater or 2 seater (turns will be a pain either way) *We have 2 acres

We still have the same ones plus a 12v atv now for the 2 yr old. The 36v atv or gas go kart would be good for the 4 and 6 yr old. 8 yr old could like the go kart but 10yr old needs a size up. For your ages I'd avoid 12v.

I got a nearly expired quarter midget racing harness. They cant race with them expired so it was cheap. Old new stock so I have not concerns with safety, definitely better than the stock ones.

Question about the 36v: since it's difficult for a child to squeeze the brakes, does it stop on its own pretty good on the 6mph setting? Thinking of getting one for my 4 year old.

It does not, it will coast. However I let the brakes drag slightly so it would slow down on its own when she was first learning. Now she can brake herself.

The pink ATV in this video has 3 speed settings, selectable by key. 6, 10 and 15mph. The 6mph is only slightly faster than most 5mph 12v powerwheels. I bumped her speed up as she got better and better. I still have her normally on the 10mph setting (she 5.5yrs now).

Can you tell me how long it takes the pink 36v to charge? And how long would you say it lasts?

6-8hr to fully charge. Last about 45mins in grass with hills on 10mph setting (probably 1.5+ in 6mph setting). Less in 15mph setting if you go that fast.

I'd probably go with a go-kart by that age. I'm intrigued by the newer 48v or 60v electric ones but we currently have the Trail Master Mini XRX/R+ that is in this video. @@NaterTater Have you had any mechanical issues with the gas go kart? I've read about clutches, chains etc. Always hard to tell whether its operator induced or real design issues.
