It can be taken alone. Many do benefit from the spore probiotic and IgG antibodies which reduce inflammation.

Its good to reassess your gut to see how your are responding and adjust accordingly. Many of my patients take it regularly long term, but are able to reduce the frequency.

They are similar. Bloating is when the gas is trapped inside and makes you uncomfortable. Gas is when you pass the air.
