HARE KRISHNA.. Great cooking.. little tips from me it's my way of cooking.. nothing is right or wrong.. Add mustered seed when oil is hot. They pop well.. then add all other ingredients as you have done. Don't have to keep sugar sperate let it cook together so sugar will caramelize uniformly. Let the pumpkin cook on medium flame and when you cover it then the flame should be low. It takes little longer but all flavours mix nicely. Try, to cook on medium to low flame. The difference between chonk and tadka is that. When you take the oil and add all ingredients like mustered seed, cummin seeds etc then add vegetables etc.is called chonk. In case of tadka you prepare the sabji or dal and top it up with hot oil . You take a separate pan add oil once oil is hot then add mustered seed let them pop then add cummin seeds, and other ingredients as per choice and or type of recipe. This oil you pour on top of the cooked vegetables or dal Hope I could explain it to you property. You can make kheer of the pumpkin, also can add pumpkin to dal. You saute chopped pumpkin with small quantity of oil. Cover it and let it cook on low flame. When pumpkins become soft switch off the stove. Don't remove the lid let it cool down. Then take it in the serving bowl and youghrt (quantity as per your liking) add salt, sptinkle black pepper powder, red chili powder to taste. Mix it well and enjoy indian pumpkin salad😂😂 you can add finely chopped cilantro (coriander) leaves, parsley leaves RADHE RADHE RADHE.
@milasor1089 ай бұрын
Firstly thank you for this comment. I learned a lot. About putting mustered seeds in hot oil you are right...I was thinking the oil was hot enough but it wasn't so I waited... I am so happy finally I have learned the diffeence between chonk (we in iskcon call in chons but I guess we are mispronouncing it) and tadka. I heard the word tadka just recently and was all the time wondering what that is. Thank you for the Indian pumpkin salad too...will try it soon and let you know. It looks like you are a great cook 🙏🏻 Radhe Radhe 🙏🏻

@@milasor108 HARE KRISHNA.. I'm happy you took my criticism in positive spirit. I think I'm not good cook but a good critic. @@milasor108 HARE KRISHNA. The pronunciation of the word in HARE KRISHNA is coming from Bengali language. Chonk is the Hindi version. The meaning remains the same but phonetically different. Everything is lovely about this video. In west sauce may be the watery oily mixture of spices, tomato puree ,onion etc( red sauce, white sauce ) in which you mix your brown rice or pasta. I feel In indian food its equivalent is sambhar, rasam, kulambu etc innwhich you mix rice and eat. But thadka or Tarka ( hindhi) is different- it means tempering spices like mustard, jeera, pepper some dals like urad and bengal gram and curry leaves to extract their flavors in fat.. Down south its called POPU, in tamil its THALIPPU, in telugu THIRUVANTHA., in karnataka" OGGARANE" etc !!!!

There are only two options: Either you take the position of Krishna yourself or you don't take that position and take responsibility for the consequences. There is no middle way. You cannot pick and choose. The worst experience that you have to pass through as Krishna in human form is a major deterrant. If anyone feels that Krishna has not programmed his maya properly, they can take that position and see for themselves.
