Thanks so much for the amazing reviews and info. I was just curious what your fav 64GB image is to use? I am kind of picky. I really like the most recent Dragon Blaze 64 GB image from Glaestio, but nobezels or overlays. I hate seeing those black side bars, also need my 2 player beat em up roms. Anything you recommend from the vault. Checked out 2018 listings for Pi 3 images, you have a swine 64 GB image on there, does it have 2P simpsons and other beat em ups?

Just want to say thanks to wolfanoz! Just had the image put on to an sd card and turned it on first time - so amazingly put together and no issues whatsoever so far after trying a couple dozen games across systems! Love it!!!

I went into the settings and applied the 2xHQ Shader for all the retroarch emulators as I did not like the default pixelated look of the games. Great job Wolfanoz. 👌

@@MrRetro90 Yes. On multible platforms. It is not a constant thing, but enough to annoy you at 2-5 second intervals. Played AVP with a friend yesterday. We were more frustrated with the repetative human levels and boss defeat slow down (typical Capcom) than the jittering. It is there though. Some games are worse than others.

@@THEKLEVER187 I am new to the Pi scene too! I am struggling with it the Pi 4 the Pi 3b is running fine it is a lot to learn, not difficult to do but requires a lot of work and a little luck which I do not have at all now. I cannot seem to flash any of the images successfully at all!

@@THEKLEVER187 Yes, if you download the image and a program called balenaEtcher it will copy the image over to your SD card. Then you just put the SD card into your Pi4 and turn it on. Super Easy!

nice. Not sure why everyone is hell-bent on sorting games by sytem. Are the games properly tagged? Like, if I want to play fighting games(capcom-streetfighter, snk-KingOfFighters) or racing games (sega- outrun, nes- rad racer,...) etc regardless of system, will all of the games be listed correctly?

Hi all and thank you Wolfanoz so much for the great image and the unbelievable work! I saw many comments about the audio that doesn't work. I have the same problem and tried all the threads and all the fixes but i can only get the audio via HDMI during the splashscreen. Someone solved the issue? It's so irritating to play without sound!

Has anyone experienced really bad sound crackling with MAME/Atomiswave but no problems with any of the other emulators for this image? Everything else works and the frame rate is great, but man I'd love to try Blue Dolphin with good sound. Tried asking in the Arcade Punks message board but it's awaiting moderation, sadly. Regardless, this mod rocks and I'm a HUGE fan. Thanks for the awesome work(if Wolfanoz is reading this.)

Downloaded it. Put it to a 256GB sdxc. But it just has a black screen after the Pi 4 shows the rainbow screen. Imaged twice. From a Win10 system and from a MacBook. So anyone have this happen?

@Madlittlepixel Has anyone tried getting this image recently? I just tried this a week ago and seems there’s several console collections missing from it when I fired it up in a Raspberry Pi 4b 4GB. No 3DO, N64, Amiga, Ti99-4/a, ColecoVision, Vectrex, and many others missing, although the image is still 256GB. Seems like they need to be enabled or something, maybe? I can’t find any documentation updates that indicate any major changes. I’ll look into it more but figured I should say something here in case others have seen this.

this is an incredible rom!! I have onlye a couple of issues: is it possible to turn off the audio of the video when the system starts? I got some tearing and stuttering, specially in retroarch on my arcade1up cab, how could i fix that?

Anybody get terrible sound on the atomiswave games using this image?? The games run perfect but the sound is very distorted. Running pi4 over clocked with this image. (Although I think I did the update to retropie) really want to play these games as never really had a chance but it’s not the same with the sound being as it is. Any suggestions would be lovely. Had same issue. For me it was a turned out that my budget storage drive was the problem . I used a better quality media and it changed for the better. I was told to try a higher quality from a post in a Reddit page

scott hill load up a Dreamcast game and press ESC on your keyboard. This will bring up the Redream menu. Use W,A,S,D keys as your directional arrows and L for select. Scroll over to Input and you can configure your controller within that section and save changes.

I can't for the life of me get my 2nd arcade stick to be detected. I have the GPIO plugged in and installed the mk_arcade_joystick driver from within retropie settings, but it only detects the first gamepad. Any ideas? Thanks

Anyone else not getting any sound? I've tried all of the built in audio fixes but i only get the intro video sound. No menu music, no video snaps audio or in game audio as well.

Looks absolutely superb but sadly after hours of messing about, different Pi 4s, different SD cards, different software, different controllers etc to try figure out what's at fault it seems I have a bad image if that's even possible? Everything at startup loads up great, music etc, set up my controller but then as soon as I press up or down to scroll it crashes and my green light is solid? Can't think of anything else I can do to fix really. Any ideas would be much appreciated?

Looks like this image no longer works. All that try it now report it only boots to a multicolored screen. Any working images out there that are worth looking into?

Sounds like the emulated system bios is not in the correct location

Same. My controller configs don’t save either. I’ve tried expanding the image capacity and still nothing.

Ok so I figured it out. I’m using a 256gb card and it completely filled it to the point where there was no room left for configs to save, even after expansion. I went in and deleted a few of the bigger roms I knew I wouldn’t play. It gave me a little more room and things started working.

why do they never put tee off golf on the dreamcast emulator? That was one of my favorite golf games ever and I wonder if it plays better on the pi4 than it did on the pi3.

I can't get most games to have good quality not sure why. The play very smoothly but I can see where image can be better. I've tried on my Samsung smart TV, Sanyo HD TV and also a regular 1080p pc monitor.

Etcher says image successfully written to card but also 1 failed target, something about checksums do not match. What does that mean?

Bro even more of a rookie question but they it's a 220 zipped file. Extracting ONE takes hours. How did you do that? Surly you didn't unzip the entire lot? I'm confused Bro. How did you do that?

NinjaNaz84 as you unzip it creates 1 image file. You wrote it on mircro sd with etcher

You just select all and unpack. Creates one image. Then you burn it onto an SD with disc imager.

Has anyone had issues with the Atomiswave & Naomi games, specifically the audio? The audio is horribly crackling & breaking up, to the point the games are unplayable.

@B J Thanks, I got it working after a bit of research & help on another forum. Seems that the default audio gain is too high. You have to go into the in-game retroarch options (hotkey + x), then turn the volume down to -10. Once I did that, the sound was perfect!

How do I solve this problem after updating retropies? It gives me the following error: "failed to find mixer elements". So there is no more audio or music ... It only works on the splashscreen .. Help write me here how it resolves thanks.

Ciao! Is there a way to put the engine on, say, a 32/64 Gb micro SD and the bulk of roms on an attached HD ? Because images are gettin' larger by the day, and sonn an MSD card will not be enough.... ? Beside, USB3 SSD transfer rate is better.
