This and Eucris were the two that really kickstarted my fragrance journey, and I still reach for this when I want something warm and sunny and cosy. Wonderfully sweet, rich, refined and different, perfect for late spring and early summer walks on the sun-baked grass

This is great, I have the shaving cream, skin food and of course the fragrance, it's very similar to as you said,channel Egoist and it's also similar to Masion Christian Dior Santal Noir.

I love sandalwood, and this is one of my favorites. The shaving cream is also good, but I do not recommend their shave soap. The skin food with the same fragrance is fantastic. It can be used both as a pre shave, after shave and moisturizer.

Eucris is my scent of the day. Very classy/gentlemen’s scent. Their entire house is like every barbershop 💈 scent profile ever made. Would love to visit London and patron their shop Looking forward to making this happen once it’s safe to travel

TOBS - sandalwood was my entry frag, and I love that. How is the GFT sandalwood compere to TOBS sandalwood? Anyone? I can't wait spring to pull out GFT lavender water! That's nice too, refreshing lavender!

Finally, something I actually found before Mr. Smelly. It looked stodgy but a pleasant surprise and lots of similarities to Egoiste. Love it.

I've got a vintage bottle of Caswell Massey's Tricorn, which is quite nice. As I recall, it's primary note is Bangalore sandalwood with supporting notes of vanilla and cloves. I've also got a bottle of DH Harris Sandalwood aftershave, a holdover from my straight razor shaving days. That one seems to be just a plain Sandalwood tincture.

This packs more a punch than Egoiste after a while Egoiste fades fast Sandalwood cologne lingers on for a long while and has a nice rich smell that is reminiscent of one of my all time faves penhaligon opus 1870 but with greater performance.

I had this one and I sold it on pretty quick. It has that barbershop feel I couldn't get away with (surprise surprise), but for the price you can't go wrong if you like those classic scents.

I've used Trumper's shaving products before and really enjoyed their quality and fragrance. I also had one of their fragrances once but I'm embarrassed to say I can't remember which one! It would have been a citrus one as that seems to be my go to "smell". I must admit, maybe because of my upbringing, I always associate sandalwood with health food shops, hippies, incense, etc., so I've never had an interest in sandalwood fragrances. But this channel has been challenging me to seek out different fragrances. My partner got me into Oud Wood by Tom Ford. Originally I was a little unsure about it, but now I like it a lot. So maybe I should be adventurous and revisit a sandalwood fragrance. Also, very much into vintage brands, vintage fragrances, so I always enjoy learning about what's out there.

I need to revisit this one. I sampled it years ago and recall an “old man” type of scent that was very off-putting for me. Sandalwood is one of my absolute favorite notes. As far as trumper, their Spanish leather was the one that tickled my fancy. The AOS sandalwood has been my absolute favorite of the shaving variety I have tried out.

That's a nice sandalwood. My day to day splash is TOBS. Upscale is Acqua di Parma Sandalo (phenomenal) and special occasion is Xerjoff Richwood (Godly).

Floris Santal is a sandalwood fragrance I love. And let's not forget Bois du Portugal.

I'm a brickie, work out doors under the hot sun, and sweat a lot as you can imagine, my wife always says, you sweat like a pig, which is true I think, but I'm not sure if pigs actually sweat or not. The question is, I'm after a nice classy blokey smelling cologne as I'm tired of Brut 33, and I get ribbed a fair bit for using it. I need to break away and up my game. I like smells that are not too flowery, and would app some recommendations. I'm willing to fork out $80 Australian dollars and need 3 bottles to kick things off. My wifes birthday is coming up so I want to surprise her in a good way, if you know what I mean.

I love sandalwood, yet imperial leather doesn't come even close in this universe to the real thing. Proper sandalwood is very nice. Personally I absolutely love oud, especially aaron Terence Hughes oud, its amazing quality & longevity. Proper sandalwood should be along the same lines in quality. X
