I think a Drinkthrough is on order on this, with the Double Double 32, 27 & 21. The 18yr regular expression is also readily available to round out the line up. I am especially curious what you guys think of the 21 yr. It sells for $50 in my area.

Well I'm gonna be a broken record lol, I said this in the comments of the reaction video, I have the 21 and it's fantastic....correction, I HAD it but gave it to a friend when I gave him a pour and he had a mouthgasm. I will be buying it again as well as the 27 and 32.

This was the only 32 year I could find and afford to celebrate my 32 year retirement November 4th. I’ll have to go back and look for everything you mentioned in your far more detailed review. It makes me even more glad I bought it for the occasion! I mentioned the bottle size and cost in my cheese review, and really, since we’re all accustomed to 750s, its 300.00 (though it would likely not be 2x, but, yeah). Great review and score!

I finally got a hold of this and I have to say, “WOW!” What a flavor bomb. Definitely on the lookout for more before more people catch on. I know locally, a bunch of the 27 that was sitting there for a while all of a sudden sold out quick.

i did a blind test with 6 friends... dewards 32, springbank 21, macallan 18 and 25, bowmore 21 ... 5 out of the 6 chose the dewards

The price on these have gone up, a hair, but not compared to most bottles this good. One of the local Total Wines here has 3 of them in stock at $204. Crazily, they have the 27 year ON SALE for $96. WTF. I didn't pull the trigger on either bottle because they have literally sat on shelf for nearly a year. No one here drinks Scotch so I just snag the stuff whenever I don't find any cool American Whiskey. Age stated Japanese whiskey still moves (I assume because they hope to flip them) but that's the only foreign whiskey that moves. Kinda nice - across the River people don't seem to drink Rye so I can just cross the border and snag about any rye whiskey or American Single Malt for below MSRP. I'm glad most people around here have basic palates.

You guys need to try Kujira 30 year old Japanese whisky as part of the ultimate spirits competition. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. I'd give it a diamond so it would be interesting how you'd score it. Cheers!

So i found it. I bought it. cracked it, had a neck pour and let it breathe for a month or two. Having my second glass now, alongside a pour of the old Glenfiddich 18. Wow. The dewars just keeps going on the palate. These two glens are my first drink of the night, i got some pretty prominent ethanol on the glenfiddich's nose, but that was just completely laquered over by chocolate and leather and nuts on the Dewars' nose. I don't even know what to say. It's really good. Excellent whisky. It's expensive, for a half bottle, but it would make an amazing high-end gift on par with Glenmorangie Signet. (for those that appreciate it, of course)

Picked up this bottle based in part on your scores. Truly dumbfounded how you scored this so high. It’s suuuper thin with a fast finish, seems chill filtered. Good nose, but doesn’t carry over to the palate. I could see someone who enjoys lower abv, non-cask strength whisky rating this in the high 80s but nothing more.

Curious about scoring. If 1-10 is a score. Then does 1 represent 01-10, 2 represent 11-20, etc? So when you give something a 9, it represents 81-90. And a 10 would represent 91-100? So when something is rated a 9, then 11-19 out of every 100 tasted would be better than what's being rated? I really like your scoring. Just looking for verification?

Taste off suggestions for the Dewars 32: Chivas 25, Ballantine 30, and the very hard to find Whyte & Mackay 30. Get to work Dutch! :)

It’s Bourbon Night just gave the 32 a 4th place finish in a 5 way blind. Maybe bourbon drinkers don’t see it as value.

You should be taking a point off for the color. There's absolutely no way anything that old and balanced is that color. Scotch is free to have artificial coloring, without disclosing it. Any whisky that color, that old, is overly oaky.

This amazingly has no added color. It has a small label on the side of the box we forgot to show that states it is non chill filtered and no color added.

Just picked up the 21 year for $48. I have a chance to buy the 27 for 93 and the 32 for 165. I think I may grab both of them tomorrow so I can do a drink through.
