In this video I talk about silver bars and what silver bar is the best size for silver stacking or silver investing. I talk about the 1 gram silver bars, 1 oz silver bars, 5 oz silver bars, 10 oz silver bars, 1 kilo silver bars, and 100 oz silver bars. If you want to learn about silver bars 10 oz and silver bars 1 oz then this is the video for you. 1 gram silver bars and fractional silver bars are bad for stacking and investing. The most popular are the 1 oz silver bar and the 10 oz silver bar. The 1 kilo silver bar and the 100 oz silver bar have the lowest premium. Which silver bar size is the best for stacking depends on which silver bar is right for you. I hope this silver bar size video could help you decide which ones you want to stack!

Its very possible the thief secures the homes weapons & perimeter 1st while the owner is away. Decoys are a good option to consider since they’re probably trying to get in & out ASAP. If they are busted mid burglary, best believe our friends in the chamber are much much faster. Stay stacking my man. Bars, coins, rounds.. They’re all great to me!

My method that has worked well. Hope it helps: - I put 90% into 1 & 10oz bars for long term investment/storage. Mostly 10s. - 10% into 1 & 2oz rounds, mostly desirable/collectable patterns, might get some appreciation and they sell a bit higher. Mostly 2s. - I keep two bars and a couple coins separate, designated for handling or showing or just when I get that urge to check them out. Everything else stays hermetically sealed and locked away. - I buy two or three times a year, try to time the market lows as best I can, and always purchase enough to get free shipping. - Rarely sell, but if it jumps over $30-35 like it did a few years back, I'll let a good bit go out of the 10z bar stack.

@alanpecherer5705 2 жыл бұрын
@@gossman75 What you say makes perfect sense, but we both know that doesn't mean it is "true". The problem, if you can call it that, is that (traditionally) it has been really hard to make much money dealing generic silver. I worked at a dealership selling silver and gold for a while (10 years ago) and it just became kind of silly, you'd sell $27,000 worth of silver and there was maybe $200 profit in it. Since it's so hard to make money selling generic silver, it stands to reason that some dealers will ask more for special designs. If silver is $22 and any old generic round is $26 and an eagle is $30, this is not the way it was say 5 or more years ago. It used to be common for dealers to sell 1 oz rounds for a buck or a buck and change over spot. And that wasn't a "special, it was everyday pricing. Then, maybe it was 2 years ago, this big smelly shortage allegedly occurred and all of a sudden, gen rounds and 5/10 and even 100 oz bars had a $4 or even $5 premium. It hasn't gone back to "a buck over spot", as I am sure you've noticed. Along the same lines, it has always been common for Englehard or J-M bars to sell at "noticeable" premium over generics. And this was true even when both of those refiners offered product, which neither do right now. Why should that be the case? It's because dealers can get away with it, and I am not disparaging dealers...it's not an easy business. Heck, if someone loves Barry Manilow and will pay $35 for a generic round with his image on it, why shouldn't some dealer or mint have a batch made and try to sell them? People pay $300 for Michael Jordan Nike sneakers, maybe they think those sneakers will allow them to jump a foot higher or maybe they think they are honoring MJ's record by buying them. I couldn't tell you. Tell you what, if there was a rapper known for gold chains and you could sell gold chains for 140% of what the chain would cost elsewhere, I say go for it. That said, do I prefer J-M bars to Sunshine Mint bars? You bet I do. Would I pay 120% for it? Probably not. Would I pay 105% for it? I might.

The Larger Bars are only if you have enough invested in 1 oz. coins. Because as high triple digit Silver becomes a reality you can’t shave off an oz. To date I can say after 46 years of stacking I’ve acquired (462) 10 oz. bars. Most of which were under $5 an oz. I never even purchased a 10 oz. bar until I had 7000 ozs. of coins. And the 100 oz. bars were $350 bucks each in 91’ so that was the year I bought most of those. I only own 21 of the 100 oz. bars. Wow I am so glad I don’t have to get excited about catching up with you people now. So I can concentrate on more important stuff like food and gardening. By the way none of you will get rich owning Silver or Gold. This time when the price explodes you’ll be inundated by hyperinflation. If you own it you’ll have retained your wealth and that’s it. GOOD LUCK 👍🏻

How many 1oz bars does it take to buy a vehicle/horse/piece of equipment/wife/house/land? If I wanna buy a cow, wouldn't doing it in 10oz or kilo bars be more convenient than Eagles? Even though this is mainly about investing, another thing to take into account is if things go bad and you move from investor to survivor and need to use it for commerce you're going to want a good mix of lower sizes because if you show up and try to buy a chicken with a 10 oz bar you may not get change. Lastly, government reporting is required on transactions over a certain amount so if you buy a bunch of 100 oz bars below the required reporting number and then sell it your sale will be reported whereas if you have small bars you could break up your sales over days or dealers and be under that number and not be reported.

a $3.99 premium or higher is never reasonable. up until march of 2020 premiums on gov coins were like 2 bucks maybe, generic silver was at spot or maybe as high as .89 cents. its sad that 3.99 is considered reasonable

One advantage to buying 10 oz bars (online) is that $199.00 seems to be the standard price to get free shipping so you can count that into the price as well.

Here in Germany the 1kg bar marks the last signifikant drop in premium. It's considerably less than for the 500g bars. There are also 5kg and 15kg bars but it doesn't make much of a difference in terms of premium. So 1kg is pretty much the sweet spot unless you really want huge bars.

I don't know why, but I prefer the look of cast silver when it comes to bars. I know you don't typically get the cool designs and whatnot, but there's something pleasing about them to me.

They also tend to be a lot cheaper too as the sellers typically obtain larger quantities at lower prices. The irony is that because silver scams are so common, professional looking coins and bars aren't even a guarantee of purity as there is a whole industry dedicated to silver scamming.

I think 100 oz bars are the way to go, lowest premiums, and to be honest I wouldn’t be going down to my LCS to sell an oz or two at a time. If I need money, I’ll most likely need a few grand, and it’s not hard to sell a100 oz bar, at least not in my neck of the woods.

My silver bar stack (from small to big) consists of 3oz (yes three oz), 5 oz, 250 gram (approx. 7.5 oz) , 10 oz, 500 gram (approx. 15 oz), 20 oz (another weird size) and 1 kilo. We have more options in the sizes of bar in Asia. My favorite bar is 500 gram bar.

What are your thoughts on 2oz coins for stacking? I see on the TD site that the 2oz coins are cheaper (per oz of silver) than 1oz coins or 10oz bars. Also, I overheard someone selling a 100oz bar at the local bullion shop last week, and when I researched their site 10-10oz generic bars were worth more than the 100oz bar when selling to them, and about equal buying from them.

I buy for investment purposes. Whichever is cheapest per the ounce and in my budget gets my money. I also keep reselling in mind though so if it doesn't sell well in my area, I'm not a buyer. That means the kilo and 100 oz bars are out since they're difficult to move.

I like and stack 2 oz coins and old pours (I have only one of those so far). Two oz coins seem to be more rare and, to me, more interesting. They are bigger without being too big. I have never seen a 2 oz coin at a coin shop ever so I think they would move really well if they did happen to carry them.

A monster box of government coins is the best. It checks all the boxes (except premium sometimes). It is a 500 oz package with tubes of of 20 / 25 oz. And the tube is further divisible into single ounces. So you get small, medium and large all in one. You also don't have as many issues with worrying about counterfeits as you might with a big bar. Keep stacking...

Not a big bar fan...never have been. Not sure why! Mostly rounds and coins for me. I do have a few bars...a few 10 oz "P loaf" Engelhards and some Geiger. Of course, Geiger only comes in bars, or more accurately squares (mostly), so I have a few more of those. I have recently picked up some more bars however when I saw that during the pandemic, bars were sold out almost immediately. I thought it would be good to get some more in the stack (nothing over 10 oz) because of that, but not my preferred items to buy. Nice comparisons and great video SD.
