8:35 It’s hard to hear over the dk music, but if you listen closely, as MKLeo gets Arsene, Cynthia’s piano starts to play. And that is pretty much how it feels any time Joker gets Arsene

"gimping Cloud is a myth" Thank you Marss! I've been saying this for forever! His drift and air dodge are just too good, plus he has stalls and mixups with side b. Or he can just throw out an enormous f-air hitbox that's hard to get around for a lot of characters. And even if all this fails, limit is just like, nah I got you bro.

I main cloud, used to be super negative about him, but I started to play other characters more and got better fundies and realized cloud is broken lol probably has a top half recovery + maybe the best onstage game of any character besides like Steve sonic joker? Anyway yeah for sure cloud recovery is almost never bad

Roy side b has three hit boxes, the sour spot, the semi-sour spot, and the sweet spot. Because MkLeo rolled into Kola's jab, Kola could connect with the sweet spot and killed him at a stupidly low percent.

His Byleth if I’m not mistaken has never lost to Kola and always bullied the hell out of him. Idk why Leo is so scared to pull out Byleth for MUs he dominated in.

nah shield drop is 10 frames, anyway marss just discovering this tech now is hilarious sparg0 been doing this for years 😭

shield drop is 11 frames but jump oos is 3 frames because of jump squat being 3 frames meaning he can start the side b 8 frames earlier if he jump side b's because you can't side b oos without dropping shield first

Jump squat cancels shield drop frames, same with up b and upsmash

21:03 Honestly, the biggest weakness I can think of for cloud, is that he doesn't have the biggest combo strings. As far as I've seen from watching sparg0 and a few other cloud players, Cloud's combos are at most like 2-4 hits long, and even then, 4 is hard to get to. But yeah no, Cloud has some stupid strengths in what Marss mentioned.

It’s the classic swordie problem, you kinda just have to play somewhat honest neutral and adv. now it’s not as hard as it sounds bc clouds move just do like 15 each and his ledgetraps and corner pressure are so good, but it’s still harder than like a kazuya or Steve where you can win neutral once and do like 50 minimum

I had to think for a sec, when he mentioned "side b after shield drop"."shield drop" in ultimate: drop your shield. shielddrop in melee: a mechanical demaning action to pass a platform while in shield. its time to leave kindergarten
