I always thought Chile Pasilla is the dried (dehydrated?) Poblano peppers.

@@AnaDiaz-wz4cf that’s where most get confused. If only the name stayed the same when a chili pepper is dried. Like for example the pasilla chile or chile negro is the DRIED form of the chilaca chili pepper and poblanos when dried are called: Ancho chiles. So a dried poblanos is an Ancho! It’s confusing right, like why does a name need to change once in their dried form? 🤷🏻♀️ 😝

Try them with shredded cabbage, cut up tomatoes and some white vinegar. Mix together. And some cut up onion if you like it. Yummy!

Omg you make it look so easy, I've helped my mom make tamales since I was a kid but never made them on my own. Deep fried tamales de queso con rajas are THE BEST for breakfast with a a champurrado 🤤🤤🤤

You forgot to add corn husk on the bottom of your steamer divider and on top of your tamales. Queso Oaxaca is way better

It’s better if you sauté the peppers with onion and garlic and THEN put them as the filling, deeper flavor.

It is poblano chile, pasilla chile is when it is dry, if you make something Mexican, look carefully at the name of the ingredients, thanks for your recipes.

No, absolutely not. No offense but it’s like confusing BBQ with ketchup, pasilla is a dry red pepper, poblano is the one she is using. Still the tamales look 🔥🔥

The one she's using is poblano pepper. It's call poblano when is fresh and it's call pasilla when is dry and red It's the same pepper but in different stages.

These are the weirdest tamales ever. If you hot hatch Chile's from new mexico you just use rajas they are spicy enough you don't add red salsa to green chile tamale and the best cheese to use is menunita but it's expensive unless you live near juarez
