@@GFGokudepends on the person and the agreement. This screams that the agreement was that they talked it up a lot though. The only bad thing I heard throughout this video was that the stylus has a battery… I know they have more thoughts about it

The stylus using a AAAA battery keeps the price down since it doesn’t need a charging circuit & rechargeable battery. Amazon says battery lasts about 6 months. The Apple Pencil that charges wirelessly (2nd gen) costs $129. For a tablet at this price, I understand the trade off. The $329 iPads only support the non-wireless charging Pencil (extra $99), and keyboard is extra. Microsoft 365 support & Echo Show mode are bonuses. The main issue is that the FireOS app store is smaller.

Unless it's an ipad but productivity can literally be typing up word and excel documents. I guarantee no artist is looking at this for their level of productivity

Unlike Windows, FireOS doesn’t chew up a lot of RAM. iPad Pro models didn’t have more than 4GB until recently. It works with Microsoft (Office) 365, has keyboard & stylus for under $400, & a microSD slot. It’s a Chromebook, iPad competitor for those in the Amazon ecosystem, it’s not a $1K PC replacement.

The Fire tablets are stupid cheap around Black Friday. That's when I buy them for the kids and family. This is on my list for this year.

Yeah this will be $149 or less on Black Friday or prime day. I got the latest Fire 10 last year for almost half off at $79.99. It is a great tablet after I installed Google Play. Hopefully the new max table can also be hacked.

@@richdaley9982 Normally I do it that way too but my old tablet was just not cutting it anymore so I got the fire 10+ when it came out XD. I also put google play on mine, so easy and adds so much, I am looking forward to snagging the new 11 max and a pen the keyboard is to rich for my blood lol

I wish they would just put stock android on it and not FireOS (which I know is based off Android). the Amazon app store kinda sucks and while I know I could get the google play store on there, would be nice to just have the option without a lot of fuss.

Its part of the compromise, they used to make it impossible to install play store but then they just one day stopped blocking it and it was as simple as installing like 3 apks. Them forking android allows them to not have to deal with google or follow some of the stupid rules. I will happily pay less and need to install play store manually haha

I feel like if they leaned heavily into the productivity side this could be a decent tablet solution for a lot of on the go jobs or even in education. The thing that blew me away was the quality of the camera you demonstrated. Studio lighting or not I've seen some pretty potato quality footage come from higher priced tablets... so that was impressive. Glad to see they haven't given up the fight and are still innovating and improving and at a killer price point.

I got the samsung tab and it has been my go to comic and manga reader. it can even handle a few of the games i like, though personally i prefer gaming on pc and don't like playing on the go so i don't use my tablet for that. but i would say the tab has been great for me and its a fairly open bootlauncher so its not too hard to put a custom android rom on it if you don't like samsung's default os and interface, or like me want a more private android experience;

For devices at this price it’s mainly about what ecosystem you’re in. Microsoft 365 & Echo Show functionality are benefits here, FireOS app store is smaller though.

Yeah, for Android it hogs RAM like a mofo so bare minimum should be 6GB or 8GB on budget/mid-range Android devices. Most $200-300 Android phones have 8GB of RAM nowadays (unless you live in the US where budget phones suck ass compared to other countries).

I at least appreciate that someone has made a tablet that can actually replace the low-end/cheap laptops without needing to spend almost a $1,000 to get the complete package. This is something that I might actually consider at some point because I have been thinking about getting a chromebook because I need something that I can use when my back locks up and I'm stuck in bed for a few days and can't manage to tolerate even just sitting at my desk to use my desktop.

The problem: Amazon's flavor or android, is horrible, I side loaded the play store in the 8inch fire tablet that I got from a pot-head a few years ago for $20 and still was a nigthmare, spent a bit more and got a Lenovo Tab 4 8 inch and was lovely, 5 years later my girlfriend still uses it for media and my mom threw the Fire 8 into a cabinet and never heard of it again, I'm ashamed to ask her for it since is so bad and would be of no use, the only good thing is the case, woa, what an amazing case, that is the only thing amazon did right with those tablets

I mean you literally can't watch KZfaq on a dedicated KZfaq app or go on discord or do like anything you would really want to do on any of Amazon's tablets. Seeing how terrible these budget tablets are and how limited Amazon makes them while badgering you with ads constantly on your lock screen and a home screen and everywhere else made me really want to just save up for a legitimate tablet which I did. It doesn't really matter how good the hardware is if the software and operating system are absolute dog crap. Period. Serious waste of money.

Hmm, interesting, my current Fire Tab 10 (2020), is only useful for reading comics. Everything is so slow an sluggish it is useless :) my Galaxy Tab S8+ fills the need for everything else. But a possible option to upgrade my GFs fire tablet.

What do you do on them? I'm using the fire hd 10+ right now and it does basically all the stuff that I do at work. O365 stuff, email, ppts and then e-readers, yt, comics all work as well. The only thing I don't like about the max11 is that it doesn't have a 3.5mm jack.

in my pass experience, the hardware was good for the price for fire tablets. one of my main issue and frustration for amazon tablet is there app store. 1/2 the app are out date and awful.

I had the fire 10 productivity tablet and i have to say it was a horrible experience for productivity office just gets so bad after awhile. Sorry but fire tablets are entertainment good nothing else.

The worst electronic I've ever purchased was Kindle fires for our kids. WORST ever! Santa brought them junk, so I ended up having to trade Santa for iPads. Thanks Santa! The iPads are going strong yet after 4 years of abuse. Id bet these are way better than my experience. The ones I bough originally were loaded with so much crap that new apps didnt even function.

This is totally just a branded deal, c'mon guys this thing is nothing special, all tablets can have keyboards and styluses they have been selling Bluetooth peripheral's like this forever. I mean, you guys do you get a bag off Amazon, but don't try and tell us this bloated spyware device is the best thing ever. Amazon has been selling its tablets at a loss since they started making them, why because they lock you into a shitty version of android they that's Heavily branded and restricted (on earlier devices you had to side load the bloody play store because they only wanted you to use Amazon web store for apps), then they use your personal information and browsing habits to sell you more shit.

I am really interested in getting one of these. I have been wanting a portable drawing device combo tablet and always find they are WAY overpriced. At sub $400 for the complete package at 128g storage, you cannot beat it. They really did take it to the Max!

For drawing, I’d look into what the OS & apps compatible with the stylus can do. You may be better off with a $329 iPad & $99 Apple Pencil. Which device you should get depends a lot on the software & ecosystem. This tablet works with Microsoft 365, and works as an Echo show, but the FireOS app store is smaller.

I used a Fire 10 as a drawing tablet for some time. Usually they are my go-to because they are dirt cheap. By virtue an iPad is better but if you're not a bonafide artist and just using it as a sketchbook of sorts, the Kindle is a steal

This should be launched in the Indian market by Amazon looking at their Prime subscription volume out here. The price is really great, even if we consider the Indian standards (no pun intended)man.
