This product is just insultingly overpriced. $450 for the battery alone, then another $1,600 for the toilet...then the bags. I see a $500 product, anyone else?

I like your channel, but $1600 for a toilet that requires an invertor (or another $400 for the battery) AND uses proprietary bags? No thanks. Trelino was my choice. No power, and uses bags that every Wal-Mart or grocery store uses.

This is super expensive to maintain. We are using poop bags on our cassette toilet for no2 and is better than this expensive system. If you are using it for example with 3 people once per day, you need $4,5 to do your business. It is expensive, even if you are a king 😀

Worth every penny! I was able to purchase just the working mechanism, it came with the toilet seat and we built it into a drawer in my van on 500Lb drawer slides so it's out of the way. My son rewired it so it plugs into a 12V outlet, we did not buy the adapter. I've seen this toilet built into vans in a drawer or placed set up, inside a bench with a top that opens and a door on the front so you can get access to used bag. You can leave it set up and just have it on the floor in your shower like any other toilet that is used in a van or RV and move it when you shower .If you are concerned about the price of bags, use a pee jug so you only use it for number two. I love that it's sanitary, it does NOT smell, and disposes of human waste in a responsible manner. I was sharing my toilet on a trip, long story short, I went on another trip 10 days after I got home and discovered a bag that had been left under the toilet.......there was absolutely NO smell or leakage and it was full of #2.. This toilet was developed in 2000 for disasters, healthcare, and construction etc. it is not one that was developed for the "Van Life" craze so getting bags should not be an issue. They also make a fold up version that is around $600 if $ and or space is an issue.

Those that make these should measure popular vans toilet pans so that they can sell more.....are you listening manufactures?...my cassette toilet takes five minutes

You should have shown us the loading or installation of an actual bag

What concerns me about these systems using proprietary bags is what happens if the manufacturer goes out of business, or comes out with a new system and stops support of the bags? Small companies do not always have a long life.

This is a knockoff of a Japanese toilet designed for emergency situations. Although it could be that Wrappon Trekker purchased marketing rights.

We just spent a month living in a camper van in France. Had absolutely no problem with using a cassette potty. You dump it, and they have pressure hose stations to clean out the cassette if I spend five minutes doing it it was too long. In addition, if there is a level of water in the cassette, nothing really sticks too badly. I think your comment about the longevity of the unit, may be a bit premature. It uses a heating element to seal the bag those can burn out. And then you have a bag without a seal.

I love the large blackwater tanks with Macerator Pump System with Power Hose Reel. I had a rental camper van with a 16 gallon blackwater tank. It was comfortable to use and last almost two weeks in my case . Along the USA West Coast I found enough places to dump. But the blackwater tank size was good for two weeks of use off grid, if needed.

Can you fit it (without the attached legs) in the shower pan area of the Storyteller? It seems *so close*. Otherwise, where do you a) store it in an STO, and b) use it in an STO?

This would work well for us. With way our van is setup , the laveo is too high and our legs dangle. This toilet seems to be almost half the height without the legs. However if you use it without the legs, how do you remove the waste bag?

I really enjoy your channel. This is an adult diaper genie or the Lavino Dry Flush toilet. Costs are out of the normal for the basic concept.

I was excited to see that there was another design for a toilet on the market. But realistically this is a waste paper basket. With a garbage bag in it except that that wouldn't take batteries and doesn't need electricity and cost less per flush. And I've used that method before and it works fine. But I will stick with my cassette toilet because I can use it multiple times. And it cost me a bit of water but I have water with me anyway. And it doesn't take plastic bags which don't end up in the landfill and so on and so on. Personally I think this thing cost too much and $400 for a battery pack is Insanity. Nice video though. I will keep watching.

There’s just no perfect option. I like the idea of throwing everything away instantly but when that bag closes and lets out the air the stench must be worse than while you’re sitting there with it in the bag waiting for it to be over. I stay with the composting because the ventilation makes for zero odor always.

Good idea, but still not ready for primetime (at least for us). Hate cassette toilets, had one, and never again. For now, I think the Separett Toilet brand where urine is collected in a separate container makes more sense since you might only go #2 a couple times a day, and you can still bag and dump your waste as needed. My wife would go through these expensive bags in no time since she hates using public rest rooms. Maybe someday a company will design something truly functional and affordable.
