I thought about this on your power tour videos. I’m sure the majority of folks think you just “got the life” because you get to do all these shows and all you have to do it walk around with a camera…. Bro, I recognize that it’s work. It takes away some of your enjoyment of the show because you’re filming/editing, even editing WHILE you film, so it’s easier to edit later. That’s why I appreciate it so much. You’re sacrificing time with your family, time with friends at the events AND time simply enjoying the event. Thank you very much, but don’t sacrifice too much bro! Your Dually is a bad influence on my bank account! lol I've got a 78,000 original mile 1995 C3500 Single Cab Long Bed with the 454 and NV4500 5 speed with granny. It was a special order truck from the factory to be able to tow 30,000lbs on a Gooseneck, 16,000lbs on the bumper hitch and 22,000lbs for a 5th wheel. It's 100% rust free (I live in the rust belt up here in Indiana) and unmolested. I'm about to molest it lol. Dropping it down and leveling it out on air. It won't be a slammed build but it'll still have a great stance. Also planning on 8 to 10 bolt conversion similar to yours on the Dually. Let me close this with your channel deserves 1 million Subs!! I have a 1987 Square with original TBI 305. It takes the same coil as yours. I have a Yellow color Accell brand coil. It has lasted me a couple of years so far but I don't put on as many miles as you. I had originally put on an MSD but it only lasted a couple months. My truck died on me cruising at 65 last week so I pulled over. 100 degrees outside and engine compartment blazing hot. Lol. I swapped out to a used coil and it still didn't start. It ended up being the module under the cap. Luckily I carry an extra of those as well. I believe you're onto the root cause of failure with this style of coils. If they were isolated from engine and engine bay heat, they might last longer. Being bolted to the hot intake manifold is not a good idea in my opinion. Sorry I wrote a book here. I never miss a video of yours. All the shows I cannot go to, you take me along from the comfort of my air conditioned house. Lol.

I don’t know how your coil wired from the factory or how voltage is controlled to coil on your truck. All the old cars had a ballast resistor,that cut voltage down going to the coil after it warmed up. This protected coil . Some coils have it built into the coil. I would add one in the wire going to the coil to see if that would be a cheap easy fix .

Go threw all your grounds on the dually and add bigger if you can. Also big 3 upgrade

You need to ground that ignition coil. And second the PCM is saturating the coil for to long causing them to burn up.

I hope you guys flushed the transmission too. If transmission fluid made its way to the coolant, coolant made its way to the transmission.
