Me too, but perhaps, it had more to do with the trailer's placement in the compilation, being that our fragile psycological states were caught off guard. We hadnt caught up yet to such visceral fear inducing, schizophrenic-episode triggering content. Perhaps we were still in transition mode, and the comfort from whatever we were watching beforehand,d lingered on longer than it should. .

I love that they came up with such a simple concept for *Smile* . I could see two screen play writers standing outside seeing a mentally ill person staring and smiling at them and them being like "Ugh... That dude smiling is creeping me out...wait, that's a great idea for a horror movie!"

Hellraiser was surprisingly good. The Cenobites designs were pretty epic. Hope they explore the Leviathan storyline in the sequels.

Did u even watch the movie? The cenobites looked like cheap Walmart costumes, u could see them wrinkle almost every time they moved....add the bad acting /ridiculous plot. It's probably the worst hellraiser made!

I didn't like how they changed the lore. It was much more interesting when the victims were the ones who sought the evil beings rather than being in the wrong place at the wrong time. It made for far more interesting characters.

I'm a cop and I once had this chick that I was doing an emergency mental committal on and she just wouldn't stop smiling. Creeped me out then she leaned forward once we got her in a room and looked at me say "let me see those pearly whites" grabbed the corners of her mouth and pulled them as far as she could saying "cheese". Can't forget the chill that went up my back.

Bones and All showed so little it didn't even get me interested... How can the people making these trailers just not figure it out... Show just enough to get people interested but not enough that exciting parts of the movie are spoilered. The control one really should have left out the "Protagonist gets powers" direction, it would have been an exciting reveal when people watched it but now everyone who saw the trailer knows and the entire moment of empowerment of the imprisoned protagonist is complete squandered...

I am pretty excited for Werewolf By Night not necessarily for the movie itself but because it might mean that Marvel is going to make a Howling Commandos movie. Definitely gonna watch Hellraiser, the new M. Night Slimeallan movie and also the Menu and My Best Friends Exorcism because those two seem like they will be fun.

Judging by the comments here it seems that "Smile' is the crowd favorite by a long shot. It definitely has an eerily disturbing quality to it. Like a bad trip that you just want to end. I imagine anyone diagnosed with Schizophrenia probably had a hard time watching this trailer.

They all look just like every horror movie I've already seen several times, as if they're all written by the same writer, endlessly reworking the same old tropes. That's the true horror.

It seem like these horror movies are more focused on angles, colors and art rather than making something truly scary. These trailers feels like horror movies made from artificial intelligence.

They try to impress people, its stupid, the wrong priorities. Its not about impressing people, its about pulling the ground out from under them. Its about making them want to keep the lights on at night. So much stylish "Hollywood" horror.
