Tightness of the bends matters. Tighter bends will be more restrictive and also will possibly cause clogs.

I have the Beam SC300 and it’s perfectly okay. But OG’s looks to be more powerful.

I think you likely could. Amatek makes pretty much all of the vacuum motors.

@@ObsessedGarage thanks Matt, yeah this vacuflo db7000 is the larger one and it's mounted in the garage. It makes a crap ton of noise and i either need to relocate it in the attic (conditioned) or buy a smaller one that makes less noise. I think switching to the smaller motor wont solve anything, but the way the smaller motor is mounted inside the can at the bottom on yours will help quite a bit. mount that in the attic and you'll never know it's on. my question would be is how long can you leave it running and how hot will it get. my ole lady likes to vacuum for 30 mins at a time, and if it's in an attic space that's not conditioned i'd be worried about it starting a fire lol.

@@JuanOnjuan-kp7tp sawdust is extremely flammable so you don't want any particulates going into your system that could spark and cause fire apparently I've been told by many vacuum companies and old woodworkers to only use your dust collector for sawdust you don't want to accidentally pick up a little piece of metal that can tumble around and spark inside the cyclone I guess ..

Yes, you could do that. I think it would be a bit clunky though. I'd rather have the Flex or maybe a Festool that is already portable.

You could use it as a central vac, but I think I'd rather have the more robust motor and go to a 220V system. When you get into multiple drops, more CFM is a must.

Video coming on an install this week. The overall width of the Cox reel with handle is 24 inches wide. We recommend mounting the vacuum 2 inches above the drum of the reel. You can mount the vacuum over or under the reel, or to the side. Whichever you prefer and what your space fits.

No it does not include that elbow, that is the total width of the Cox reel.

That's a tough call. I think for a shop, I'd do the reel. For a home garage, hide-a-hose.

I ordered the one with the reel before the comment. I’ll stick with it and see how it goes. My wife was vacuuming her car this last seeking with a shop vac and I got the go ahead to order the vacuum solution.

It will, but I think vac piping fittings reduce any airflow restriction.

@@555fourthstreet8 a purpose built sound enclosure to make it silent. instead of 65db it can easily take it to 22db.

Keep up. He has been going through the process of coming up with this type of system for a while. I don't recall Matt ever stating this is the do-all-to-end-all-forever-and-ever-amen solution. This is just version 1.

I had Nilfisk come here from Europe and brought us half a dozen vacuums. None were were great at car stuff. Festool only make rolling ones. Karcher is impossible to get ahold of and work with. I'm been trying for years.

@@ObsessedGarage Ok, I see you have tried. Let's see how your project develops. For me I have settled with cordless Bosch GAS 10 vacuum to clean the car, simply because it is very light and has no cord. Of course, suction is not on par with Nilfisk (Flex) you are selling, but still, I prefer smaller and portable to a bigger and more powerful one.

They might have a cheaper vacuum, but it's not the same.

Bagless is never a good option. I think it looks great.

If you say so... I'd just figure out how to make more money so $1500, so I could get a better vacuum. A Vacumaid extractor is going to be junk in comparison to a legit one. If you are a pro, you shouldn't be buying the heavily marketed stuff. You should listen to me and get legit professional products.

Look, we are very similar. I have top of the line cars with car audio and top notch home audio ect and i only buy the best I can afford you are not a pro your a salesman and just because you sell detailing supply's doesn't mean you know shit about how a detail, ppf and tint business operats. You're a youtuber, not a professional, I started from nothing and know what works and what doesn't because i actually did it. Like selling people your kranzle pressure washers they make awesome units if you buy a 3 or 4k dollar unit but that cheap unit is weak way over priced for the money in a real world detailing situation that unit is garbage not being a dick just the truth. Bottom line, love what you do support the channel, but you can sell your overpriced shit to people that have no clue..

I have more knowledge in my left testE lol than both of these kids on anything car, detail, PPF, tint, coat or pretty much anything related. The trick is to exercise good judgment and pick something that best suits your needs based on your budget. He had a video with couple other KZfaqrs who describe budget friendly detailing products and was asking them about their viewpoints. OG is catered towards high end audience where 'money doesn't' matter' and want the best. I have watched their vacuums testing and they make good 'apples to apples' testing and have a nice chart so you can pick what works for you. OG found their niche in producing good high-quality description of products (better description and testing than product manufacturers could produce) and brining those products to average prosumer. You gotta give it to Matt for that. I have never heard of MD vacuums or Coxreel before OG brough it up. It might be a big name in central vacuum industry, but average Joe never heard of it. Whether you want to pay that amount of money for a vacuum is a different story, but I get you point.

I'm going to buy them and do formal tests on videos and compile a spreadsheet. I don't keep stuff laying around. I'm going to do something similar to what I did with pressure washers. It took up tons of space.

@@555fourthstreet8 I'm not upset. But Matt has went in detail, for months, about the process required to come up with this set-up. Multiple videos packed with the thought process. Most of the questions can be answered by just watching the video. And yet some of the comments ask questions that are exactly covered.

You miss the point here. I'm searching for a vacuum for myself. If I find one, I offer it to others. This is 100% for me.
