The BEST Vanilla Cake Recipe: this delicious, moist and fluffy vanilla cake covered in a perfectly creamy vanilla buttercream is beyond easy to make and a total crowd pleaser! It's one of my most popular cake recipes and it's so easy to make!!
There's a FULL cake decorating tutorial at the end of this video showing you how to smooth that buttercream, clean the edge and add a flower crown!
Full Recipe: preppykitchen.com/1448-2/
SOME TIPS
*If you’re not using 6-inch pans, double the recipe for 8-inch pans or triple the recipe for 9-inch pans.
*Raspberry juice will give a beautiful soft pink color with no food coloring.
*If you see little clumps of butter after you mix the wet ingredients don’t panic, it all works out by the time you mix in the dry ingredients. *You can even use melted butter and warm the milk and sour cream up a bit if you like.
*You can substitute whole milk yogurt for the sour cream if desired, I do it all the time and can’t really tell the difference.
*To get FLAT layers that are moist inside and out try using cake strips! You can buy a set online, or make your own from foil and paper towels at home. I made a whole blog post on it so check it out if you’re interested!
*If you like a less sweet frosting try my Italian or Swiss meringue buttercream recipes! They’re Creamy, dreamy and oh so delicious.

I'm a new baker and I've made this cake recipe like 6 times, some w different extracts and it has always been pretty good. However, I made this again for Thanksgiving(as is) and I think I have finally mastered this recipe! It was so light and fluffy and just melt in your mouth🤤! I realized I was probably overbaking the cakes slightly and also I did 1.5 of the recipe and just added the full extra egg white instead of half. Not sure if that "half egg white" extra made a difference but I thought I'd mention in case anyone is doing 1.5 of the recipe.

We found both containers of soda and baking powder unopened and unused next to the mixer!🤣🤣🤣. Don’t do like me...be sure that use your leveling agents! @@zoyaas11 I've made it many times now and it is absolutely delicious. Not dry. I tried it with cake strips (I don't remember if he demonstrates that in this video) and it does make more even layers. But it's wonderful either way!

I can't remember if I commented before, but I made this recipe and it was the best cake I ever had. I'm making it for new years again this year, so I'm re-watching the video. I can't wait to share all of this yummy goodness with my friends again. And keep the other half of the cake for me! I pre-slice the cake and give everyone their slice individually so no one knows how much cake I still have at home lol.

I love that you put all the measurements in grams aswell!, most people on youtube use only cup measurements which confuses my European brain.

I'm used to cups actually hahaha and it's been few weeks since i start interest in baking I'd say grams is more nice cause it's more precise less percent of fvcking it up hahahaha
